LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Russell Brand is in the middle of a major controversy after being accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse by multiple women over a period of seven years during the peak of his fame, as per the BBC.

The allegations were made in a joint investigation conducted by Channel 4's 'Dispatches,' The Sunday Times and The Times.

Brand denied the accusations in a YouTube video and said he was facing "a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks which are untrue."

He also mentioned that his relationships were "always consensual."

Following the allegations, several celebrities came forward to defend the actor-comedian, including the likes of Elon Musk, Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones and Andrew Tate, among others.

A look at celebrities who supported Russell Brand

Despite him facing a string of concerning allegations, Brand's devoted followers rushed to his defense after he denied the claims made by his anonymous accusers.

'The Russell Brand Show' host even performed to a sold-out crowd at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre in London and received a standing ovation from the audience.

In addition, he also garnered support from multiple celebrities. Amid the ongoing controversy, here's a glimpse of celebrities who defended Brand.

Elon Musk

After Brand shared his video denying the allegations, Musk took to X to respond to the former, saying, "Of course. They don’t like competition."

The tech mogul further reiterated his stance, writing, "I support Russell Brand. That man is not evil."

Tucker Carlson

Former Fox News host and political commentator Tucker Carlson also rushed to Brand's defense.

He quoted Brand's video on X, and wrote, "Criticize the drug companies, question the war in Ukraine, and you can be pretty sure this is going to happen."

Alex Jones

A prominent conspiracy theorist and radio show host, Jones echoed similar sentiments, saying Brand is facing the allegations because he has "come out against Big Pharma" and "the globalists."

In a video, Jones could be heard saying, "I know Russell Brand personally, I knew him back when he was married to Katy Perry, he has come on the show a few times."

"I've never seen women throw themselves at anyone like with him," Jones said, comparing the situation to women throwing undergarments at Elvis Presley.

"No one ever accused him, for the last 15 years, of assault because they say he’s such a big sweetheart," he continued.

"And now because he comes out against the Big Pharma, comes out against the Big Pharma, comes out against the new world order, suddenly the allegations are happening to him," Jones concluded.

Andrew Tate

Tate, who was accused of human trafficking and rape in Romania back in June, also came out in Brand's defense, likening the latter's situation to that of his own.

"Welcome to the club @rustyrockets," Tate wrote on X, alongside a meme that read, "On my way to fight the crazy b*tch allegations."

"Matrix attack," he wrote in another post. Tate also said that the allegations were a "bunch of garbage" and that Brand was being attacked for "telling the truth" about "big pharma."

The media personality, who is infamous for his misogynistic views, also held an "emergency meeting" on Rumble to "tell everybody the truth about what's happening to Russell Brand," as per the Daily Mail.

Tate claimed the accusations were a "matrix attack on somebody else who spoke out against the mainstream narrative."

Although he said, "I don't know if he's innocent or not," Tate mentioned that the allegations against Brand was "agenda-driven" and "could be easily manufactured."

He added that Brand was being "attacked" because "he started to speak the truth."

"When he was the establishment, there were no accusations, no documentaries, no exposes, no articles, nothing," Tate alleged.

Tristan Tate

Tate's brother, Tristan, also joined the people supporting Brand and said that he was getting the "Andrew Tate treatment."

The internet personality also responded to an article about Brand. "Actresses reading stories by anonymous people he “allegedly” attacked a decade ago," Tristan wrote.

"I wonder if there will be money demanded? I’d bet my life on it," he added.

Laurence Fox

Actor Laurence Fox also posted a video questioning the allegations against Brand, The Telegraph reported.

"It's fascinating to see some parts of the legacy media talking about Russell Brand like we are going to believe anything they say about anything," Fox mentioned.

"Whatever Russell Brand got up to, and I can guarantee it because I was around, everything he would have done, would have been sort of acceptable," the actor said.

"Because otherwise his producers would have called him out and fired him," Fox stated, adding, "Now that may be an uncomfortable thing to deal with for people but that's how the world was then."

Tommy Robinson

Far-right activist Tommy Robinson, who was convicted on multiple counts of violence, fraud and other crimes, also said "welcome to the club" following the allegations against Brand.

In a video, Robinson could be seen saying, "The big pharma, the system, the matrix, whatever you wanna call it, takes them on [who] exposes them, embarrasses them, all of a sudden dispatches, who I believe are working on another hit piece about me they were, but dispatches are trying to bring him down."

"This should expose them more than anything," he stated.

"I remember Russell you emailed me to come on your podcast," Robinson recalled, adding, "but then you canceled I guess for your fear like everyone else."

"Your work has been admirable, you've certainly put yourself in the firing line...," he continued.

"If you've never had the chance then watch 'Panodrama,'" Robinson suggested.

"Panorama were working for this British state to do a hit piece to destroy my name and my life," he alleged.

"I am pretty sure that's what Dispatches are about to do to you. Welcome to the club," Robinson warned.

Michael Barrymore

Former comedian and TV presenter Barrymore, who was in the center of a major investigation over the death of Stuart Lubbock in 2001, also defended Brand.

He quoted the 'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' star's video, and wrote, "This is what they do…"

Katie Hopkins

British media personality Katie Hopkins also came to Brand's defense and pointed out the left "loved" him until "he started spitting facts on Covid that they decided he had to be got rid of."

"Particularly, after he appeared on American TV screens to speak truth about big pharma and billionaires who have been created by your tax revenues," she claimed.

Hopkins continued to weigh in on the situation in her video before saying, "You don't have to support Russell, you don't have to love Russell... but please see what is being done to him."

"They want to eviscerate him from the planet and I know it personally, they will keep coming until he swings from a tree," she stated.

Internet reaction to celebs defending Russell Brand

Social media users were divided over the support Brand received following the allegations. While some supported the ones who defended Brand, others called them out.

"There’s more of us than there are of them. We just need to keep speaking," one supporter told Musk.

"Their classic tactics The matrix machine back at it again," another responded to Tate.

"Hopefully, he stands strong just like you and your brother," one told Tristan.

One user agreed with Barrymore and said, "Absolutely. The mainstream press hang people out for a public flogging even before knowing if there’s a solid basis. Xx"

Another supported Hopkins' views, saying, "Well said Katie Hopkins. Spot on! Seems leftie media were all over Russell until his views didn't 100% align with theirs? So they've done this all these years later now he has 2 children & his wife is pregnant."

"When the same nonsense has happened to them in the same fashion, it makes complete sense. Challenge the agenda/narrative, get destroyed," one wrote about celebrities supporting Brand.

However, some internet users also criticized the high-profile names supporting Brand.

"Just saying, if you want to broaden your accounts on X, you probably shouldn’t comment or defend an alleged sex offender," one user told Musk.

"So Michael Barrymore last night defended Russell Brand and then spent the rest of the evening blocking everyone who questioned how wise that was. Still, he's had more eventful nights at his place....," another pointed out.

"Spoken like someone who is guilty. Such a narcissist….," one mocked Tate on his support.

One user wrote, "So thus far we’ve got Elon Musk, Andrew Tate, Laurence Fox, GB News , Michael Barrymore & the whole of Q Anon coming out to support Russell Brand Says it all really #C4dispatches."

Another added, "Imagine Russell Brand waking up this morning to discover amongst his chief cheerleaders are Andrew Tate, Michael Barrymore & GBNews. All he needs is The Freds to complete the full card #RussellBrand #Dispatches."

One asked, "Who’s next, OJ? Harvey Weinstein?"

Meanwhile, another added, "Yes, and they are all misogynist. I wouldn't expect anything else."
