Heidi Planck manhunt: Six unanswered questions in mysterious disappearance of LA mom
There are several unanswered questions surrounding Heidi Planck, the LA woman who mysteriously disappeared after appearing "edgy" at her son's football game.
Heidi Planck was last seen on October 17 in a surveillance footage outside her Los Angeles, California, home. It has now emerged that her boss was under federal securities investigation for possible fraud charges. According to local reports, Planck's dog was found wandering alone on the 28th floor of a high-rise building 12 miles away from her home on the day she disappeared. However, she was only reported missing by her ex-husband Jim Wayne three days later, when she failed to pick up their son from school. He told local outlets that he had seen Planck at the football game on October 17 and that she left early and appeared "edgy."

Here are six questions Planck's friends and family are left with following her strange disappearance, which was followed by an FBI raid on her home.
Why didn't she pick her son up from school?
Planck was reported missing by Wayne when she failed to pick her son up from school on October 20. The ex-husband, who shares custody of their son, told ABC that he knew something was wrong and went to the police. "She may have been a little bit edgy. I don't know," he said of his last interaction with her. "If you have seen anything, anything at all, we have a 10-year-old boy at home that’s looking for his mom and we need to find his mom," Wayne told CBS, adding, "people don’t just disappear."
Why was her dog wandering alone at the high rise?
As mentioned, Planck's dog was found wandering at an apartment building on October 17. Her friends subsequently posted flyers across the city. Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department are yet to comment on whether Planck is connected to the complex, located 12 miles from her home. She was last spotted on security footage at her home with her pet.
Who found the pooch?
Planck's dog was found on October 17, just hours after she left the football game where she seemed "edgy." However, it is unclear who found the dog and when. "People are very, very attached to their pets, and their pets do not just go missing," Jarrod Burguan, a retired San Bernardino police chief, told ABC 13. "There clearly is something out of place here." Meanwhile, a friend noted to CBS, "it seems to us that everything stems from that building where her dog was found."
Why was she 'edgy'?
According to CBS LA, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement that Planck was seen in security footage from October 17 leaving her Palms home on LA's Westside with her dog. She went to Downey to watch her 10-year-old son play football, but as mentioned, her ex-husband Wayne said she left the game early for reasons unknown to him. "She may have been a little bit edgy. I don't know," Wayne told CBSLA. "I just know that was the last time we spoke to her."

Why did she leave the game early?
While it's unclear why Planck had to leave the game early, her friends have insisted she would never leave her son like that. "She’s a good person. Good mom," one friend told CBS. "She’s always, always, like the person you want to have around you." Furthermore, Wayne added how she's "really a good mom" and "wouldn't let a day go by without talking to her son, there's no way."
What did the FBI find in its raid?
Local reports stated how the FBI was seen entering her home with guns drawn and had been expecting to find a crime scene there. Agents were later seen leaving the home with files, albeit there's no information on what they contain. Meanwhile, Planck's friends said they have not been allowed to enter the property.
Authorities described Planck as white, standing 5-feet-3 inches tall, and weighing about 120 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.
