Where is Ca'Shawn 'Cookie' Sims? Missing LA influencer’s family pleads for leads
The family of a Los Angeles fitness influencer is urging for help after she reportedly disappeared a few days ago. Ca'Shawn 'Cookie' Sims, famous as 'bodybycookie' on Instagram with 12K followers, has not been seen since September 30, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The police described Ca'Shawn as a “30-year-old female Black who was last seen on September 8, 2021 on the 2100 block of Broach Ave., Duarte.”
Authorities also noted that she “is 5’1” tall, 120lbs with black shoulder length hair and brown eyes. Ms Sims has a tattoo of ‘It’s found in the soul’ on her left collarbone, ‘Earth’ on her left forearm, and a tattoo of Spanish writing on her back. Her family is concerned with her wellbeing and asking for the public’s help.”

Besides, Ca'Shawn’s sister, Ca'rynn 'Cee' Sims, also noted that her sibling has an elephant tattoo as well as the phrase ‘As sisters we stand together,’ and the definition of the word ‘serenity’. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “Please be on the look out for finding my sister to ensure that she’s okay and safe. She has abandoned her home, her dog and seemingly her phone which is unlike her. Our extended family (my grandad, aunts and cousins) cannot reach her alike with my middle sister, mom and dad.”
Ca'rynn continued: “She lives in Duarte, CA and there is no indication to where she may have been headed after last leaving her home. So EVERY CITY, pls pls check for her no matter the location. If you see her, stay there until I or someone from my family can be reached!!!” before adding, “If you see her, please hit me immediately carynn.sims@gmail.com or DM repeatedly!! I never thought there’d come a day of me posting a missing flyer for my sister. We want her covered in prayers, God’s grace and to know that she is whole, well and alive.”
Another sibling of the social media personality, Chris'tol Sims, appealed for help as she wrote on Instagram, “Although my sister is a very independent person and enjoys her solitude, family close and distant have not been able to get in touch with her for too long and it is concerning. The last known IN PERSON communication with Ca’Shawn was 9/8. As we’ve recently started living in separate places, I do not have day-to-day access to her. I’m trying to make sure she’s okay, and will exhaust every option.”
She also noted: “If anyone has seen or spoken to my sister recently please email me at christol.sims@gmail.com. **If anyone has seen her IN PERSON please dm etc to let me know ASAP.**”
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has urged people with information about Ca'Shawn to “contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500.” It added: “If you prefer to provide information anonymously, you may call "Crime Stoppers" by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477), use your smartphone by downloading the “P3 Tips” Mobile APP on Google play or the Apple App Store or by using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org.”
