Heartbreaking video shows woman treating dying pet dog with favorite snacks on its final day
Parting with man’s best friend is agonizing, but one dog owner decided to make her pet's final day a memorable one. "Sorry baby girl but you have to go now. Thank you for everything, we're so grateful we had seven years with you. I love you forever and ever.", this was the heart-wrenching final message of the woman who bid farewell to her beloved dog in an emotional series she shared on TikTok, moving social media users to tears.
Carina, who runs the TikTok account @tailsofjoyco, shared the video of her dog, Lily the Labrador, where she's giving her favorite snack on her final day. Lily was diagnosed with lymphoma, the most common canine cancer, at the age of 7. The viral clip has been viewed by over 3.3 million people, which left many people in tears.

Throughout the video, the chocolate Labrador looks adorable as she munches on her snacks, snuggles on the floor, and gets cuddled by her pet parents. More than 5,000 people have expressed their condolences for the owner of the pooch, in the comment section of the viral video.
One wrote, "Hang in there, she was beautiful and so loved you can see it in those eyes," Another read, "So sorry for your loss, Labradors are the best friends you could ever ask for. Never cried over a dog I didn't know before. Fly high beautiful pup." A third wrote "She said goodbye surrounded by the people that loved and took care of her. I'm so sorry." Several others shared their experience of being have to say goodbye to their beloved pets, "I lost my baby yesterday at 10:27 am in my arms. I miss her so much! She was an amazing dog," one shared.
MEAWW earlier reported a similiar incident where a woman named Ellie Buckler shared videos of herself spending the whole day with her dog, giving him his favourite McDonald's McMuffin as breakfast treat and spending most of the day "lying outside with him cuddling him."
After spending a whole day with her beloved pet by treating him with all his favorites and lots of cuddles, he was put to sleep to his final journey on earth. "He passed away in my arms. It was very peaceful and it was a relief to see him out of pain but at the same time it has left me broken." Ellie said.
