Hayden Panettiere flaunts toned midriff on Women's Health cover, opens up about breast reduction surgery
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actress Hayden Panettiere, who is currently mourning the loss of her brother Jansen, is the cover star of Women's Health magazine's April 2023 issue. The 33-year-old actress revealed that she underwent a breast reduction surgery in November 2022, eight years after giving birth to her daughter Kaya in 2014. Panettiere reportedly said, "My body still didn't feel like it belonged to me. I don't think there's anything wrong with somebody who wants to tweak something if it makes them feel more confident. That's all I have to say about it. My confidence is back."
Panettiere's confidence grew following the surgery, and she was photographed for the magazine's stunning spread on a rocky beach, looking confident and happy. The actress, who started acting at the age of four, wore high-waisted black bikini briefs with a side cutout paired with a coordinating long-sleeved turtleneck top with thick black and brown stripes. The magazine cover is in anticipation of the release of 'Scream 6', in which she will reprise her role as Kirby.

Hayden Panettiere's battle with addiction
After taking a four-year hiatus from work, Panettiere returned to the 'Scream' franchise. However, before joining the movie, the actress spent time in rehab due to an addiction to opioids and alcohol. She revealed that the addiction began when she moved to Tennessee at the age of 22 to shoot the show 'Nashville'. She felt like she was being told how to live and wanted to make her own decisions. Unfortunately, she turned to substances as a form of defiance. She wished she had found healthier coping mechanisms like exercise. She described the use of alcohol as a temporary relief that left her feeling worse the next day. The actress also struggled with postpartum depression and a recurring neck injury that led to her using opioids. Hayden recognized that she needed help and checked herself into rehab in 2015. She later joined a 12-step program when she turned 30, which helped her work on herself for eight months before returning to work.
'He’s right here'
Hayden made her first appearance on 'Good Morning America' since the sudden death of her brother, Jansen. During the interview, she talked about her latest movie, the newest installment in the Scream franchise, and laughed and smiled with host Strahan. At the end of the interview, Strahan expressed condolences for the loss of her brother, and Hayden became emotional. The actress tearfully responded by saying, "He’s right here with me." The family had recently issued a statement describing Jansen's warmth, compassion, and creativity. They shared that the Medical Examiner reported his sudden passing was due to an enlarged heart coupled with aortic valve complications. An anonymous source revealed that Jansen was struggling with his career in the recent past and felt overwhelmed with the various demands placed on him. Jansen, who followed in his sister's footsteps to become an actor, last appeared in the 2022 comedy 'Love and Love Not'.
