Has Gigi Hadid given birth to her baby? Here's why the Internet is congratulating Zayn Malik and her

Gigi’s father Mohamed penned a letter to his grandchild, leading excited fans to speculate that his daughter has given birth to her first child

Model Gigi Hadid and singer Zayn Malik were waiting to welcome a new addition to their family and they announced it to the world in April this year. However, what everyone is wondering is if she has already given birth, since in April she was rumored to be 20 weeks pregnant. Even though the couple hasn’t announced it, Gigi’s father Mohamed wrote a letter to his grandchild, leading excited fans to speculate that his daughter has given birth to her first child.

He posted a photo of a handwritten note from his Instagram account on September 16. In the note he had written, “Hello little grandchild, it is me, my heart as happy as can be.” He also wrote: “I wish for you the sun & moon, I wish for you a happy time. Know that grandpa’s always here; I’ll do anything, anything for you, my dear.” Mohamed added,  “When I heard you were on the way, I smiled and wiped a tear away. I cried the tear because I knew my heart would always belong to you.” In the caption he wrote: “In the name of God the The merciful I want to say l love you and so proud of you. @gigihadid”

According to Page Six, fans began speculating that Gigi had welcomed her baby on September 15 after her younger sister, Bella posted a message to Instagram that she couldn’t stop crying. She posted a photo of her and her sister and captioned it: “June 11, 2020 ...two buns in the oven except mine is from my burger and gigi’s is from @zayn. I love you both so freaking much -can’t stop crying.”

The news of her pregnancy was reported in April and Gigi’s mother Yolanda had confirmed of the pregnancy to Dutch TV program ‘RTL Boulevard’, as per Page Six. “Still shocked our little secret got leaked to the press. Of course we are so excited,” Yolanda, 56, said per the outlet’s Instagram post. “I’m excited to become Oma in September especially after I lost my mom so recently. But this is the beauty of life, one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed.” The show also added in its caption (as translated by BuzzFeed): “Yolanda Hadid has confirmed to us that her daughter Gigi is indeed pregnant. She becomes a grandma in September.”

Excited fans began discussing Gigi’s dad post on Twitter. One wrote: “Gigi's father Mohamed Hadid posted this on Instagram sweetest letter ever. I'm not crying you are.” One posted photos of Zayn and Gigi and wrote: “Zayn and gigi at their first date in 2015 and now we're in 2020 and they are parents.” Another said, “Me after opening twitter to hear that zigi baby was apparently born. So proud of zayn and gigi!! they're gonna be amazing parents.” A concerned fan wrote: “Tbh i hope gigi is feeling okay, that the baby is healthy and safe, that zayn and gigi are very happy and smiling. i’m so proud of them, they’ll be great parents congratulations zayn and gigi.” A fan said, “If zigi’s baby is here or not, can we all agree to respect zayn and gigi’s privacy? let’s not pressure them into sharing her with us so quickly. they are new parents so let’s let them have some time with her and when they are ready they will.” There were quite a few congratulatory messages as well. 

However, all rumors were put to rest when a user posted a screenshot of Mohamed saying that the baby is not born yet. A user posted the screenshot and said, “Update: Gigi did NOT give birth yet!” In the screenshot, it can be seen a user commented on Mohamed’s post saying, “Did Gigi give birth to her baby, please can anyone answer.” To which Gigi’s father replied, “No, not yet.” One user said, “I’m gonna wait for Zayn or Gigi to confirm when they’ve had the baby but I hope they’re all safe and happy and healthy.”
