Harvey Weinstein is having a difficult time getting used to life as a convicted rapist. According to a law enforcement source, the disgraced movie mogul is battling insomnia and scarfing down bologna sandwiches as he awaits sentencing, Page Six reports. Weinstein is being held in Bellevue Hospital after suffering high blood pressure upon being convicted on Monday on counts of rape and criminal sex act.

“This is a very tough adjustment, and he’s not doing it well,” the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said of the Hollywood producer.

“He was on top of the world with women, mansions and wine and song. Now that’s all over,” the insider continued. “Tonight he’s eating a bologna sandwich.”

The 67-year-old former Hollywood titan has been "very restless" since he was admitted, the source added.

“He’s not sleeping,” said the source. “He’s walking in the limited area. He’s very restless. He’s got a lot on his mind.”

According to his lawyer Donna Rotunno, Weinstein is mostly concerned about his young children. “He has always been somebody who has wanted to shield them from this,” said Rotunno. “His fear is just not being able to be there for them.”

Weinstein has three daughters from his first marriage. And with Georgina Chapman, his second wife, he shares two children -- 9-year-old daughter, India Pearl, and a 6-year-old son, Dashiell. Chapman left him when the #MeToo allegations surfaced in 2017.

“I’m sure right now for him it’s surreal,” said Rotunno. “How could it not be, especially when you do maintain you never forced anyone to do anything?”

Juda Engelmayer, Weinstein's spokesman, said he had a conversation with the Oscar-winning producer by phone on Tuesday. Even he echoed that Weinstein is struggling to cope with the situation. “He said that he’s not feeling that great and his health is not so wonderful,” said Engelmayer. “He hopes that we are continuing fighting for him and believing in him."

The Miramax founder is scheduled to be sentenced on March 11. He faces upto 29 years in prison.
