For Prince Harry, it was love at first sight with Meghan Markle whom he met on a blind date set up by friends. According to ‘Finding Freedom, a tell-all book that released on August 11, the 35-year-old was awestruck by Meghan’s beauty and also told a friend that the former actress was “the most beautiful woman I’ve seen in my life”.

The news of their dating was later confirmed by the Royal palace in November 2016 in a statement that read Harry was already “a few months” into a relationship with Meghan. She was married to Trevor Engelson from 2011 to 2013. But after her marriage ended and before her first trip to Britain, she joked that she was ready to find “a nice English gentleman to flirt with”, writers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand wrote in their book that documents the lives of Harry and Meghan. The bombshell biography also reveals what prompted the pair to step down from senior royal duties and start a new life in Los Angles, California.

Meghan, who at the time "didn’t know much about [Harry] at all", was set up on a blind date with him by friends Misha Nonoo and Markus Anderson. The former ‘Suits’ star said at the time that she was looking forward to having “a fun night” on the date, while Harry was smitten with her at the very first glance. “Harry is admittedly tough to impress, but he almost froze when he walked into the room and saw Meghan. He knew she was beautiful — he had seen the photos on her Instagram account and online — but she was even more stunning in person,” the book claimed. The father-of-one also reportedly told a friend that Meghan was “the most beautiful woman I’ve seen in my life.”

The authors of ‘Finding Freedom’ also claimed that as the couple’s relationship progressed, they were “almost obsessed with each other” and that Harry was “in a trance.” In November 2017, the two announced their engagement after “about a year and a half” of dating. “It was so sweet and natural and very romantic,” Meghan said during a joint interview with the prince at the time. The Sussexes got married in May 2018 at St George’s Chapel in England and in May 2019, welcomed their son Archie.

However, marriage and its responsibilities have not affected Harry and Meghan’s love for each other. A source said in May that the couple shared “sentimental” gifts on the occasion of their second marriage anniversary. “The most important thing to them was that they got to enjoy each other’s company without any interruption from the outside world,” the source added.

Earlier, a report claimed that Harry was the first to confess his feelings after his romance with Meghan began. He reportedly told Meghan “I love you” just three months into their whirlwind romance. The "love-struck royal" did not hide his feelings as the two went on dates in London, Toronto, and Botswana.

‘Finding Freedom’ stated: “For Meghan, she was all in. Nothing could get her to slow down, not even a friend who cautioned her about getting involved with Harry. Three months into their relationship, a friend said, they had already begun swapping the words 'I love you'. It was Harry who said it first, but Meghan immediately replied, 'I love you, too'. From there it didn’t take long for them to begin talking in non-oblique terms about their future."
