Should Harry Styles shave? Singer debuts new mustache look and divides Internet over 'hairy' challenge

Harry Styles is giving his fans a lot to talk about. The 26-year-old singer was seen jogging in Rome on July 31 sporting a fully grown mustache. The 'Fine Line' star looked dashing in shades, a grey Nike tank top and a sports cap perfectly complimenting the new look. He was seen showing off his extensive tattoo collection and running in Adidas shoes as he jogged through the cobblestone streets.

A striking feature of his new appearance was that he kept it low key, casual and hid behind shades, while listening to music during his jog, marking a basic routine. It is being speculated that the songwriter will be more than ready for "Movember", which is an annual fall fundraiser to raise awareness on men's cancers. The One Direction alum is apparently embracing the mustache look since the quarantine began and flaunted his '70s inspired look during a trip to Casa in July while he was at the Casa Maria Luigia.

The restaurant offers a luxurious three-course meal experience curated by celebrity Chef Massimo Bottura and Harry certainly was enthralled to be the guest. He adorned the throwback style with a white and green striped shirt, "dad" jeans and low top white sneakers. The look was amplified with yellow lens sunglasses as he flashed a gourmet bottle of balsamic vinegar. 

The case of his "majestic" mustache got most fans disliking his look while some fans drooled over the mustache while he was jogging in Italy. Some fans tweeted adoring the new look, "My sister doesn't like harry styles' mustache so I will be putting her up for adoption". Another fan tweeted, I just want to have a conversation with @Harry_Styles I just hope you’re doing amazing and the mustache is just simply majestic. also, can I go on a run with you? (I’m not very fast, at all)."

For others, Harry was simply "hairy" and "unrecognizable". His fans, however, want to see more of him in mustache and are apparently praying that he stays away from salons for a while.

Fans who were unimpressed with the look, in a jovial mood, proposed a challenge for the star to shave his mustache. "Harry shave your mustache or I'm unstanning challenge," tweeted one user. This was a bizarre demand from fans that just popped up as a trend since Harry was keeping his mustache growing and still seems to not care about the challenge.

The challenge surfaced on July 23 when a fan tweeted, "I challenge @Harry_Styles to shave his mustache and show the video or photos of doing it. If he does that I will shave my eyebrows. Harry, don't get me wrong, I love your mustache just as much as I love my eyebrows. Let's have fun!" Clearly, it is gaining momentum now as more people tweet about it.

This isn't our first impression of Harry in a mustache. The 'Sign of the Times' singer was spotted working up a sweat in another retro outfit in June in London. At that time he sported a color-blocked Nike windbreaker straight outta the 1990s with sunglasses and bandana.
