Fans are sharing their thoughts after a video of Styles seemingly not wanting to stand next to Olivia Wilde at the premiere of the film has gone viral

Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde met while filming 'Don't Worry Darling' and have been a couple for over a year. Nevertheless, he refused to stand by her at the premiere of the film on September 5, Monday night. A video of the incident went viral on the Internet. Fans were shocked by Styles' refusal to stand by his girlfriend, director Wilde.

The cast has caused an uproar on the Internet in the run-up to the film's premiere with a series of behind-the-scenes squabbles. Lead actress Florence Pugh, 26, did not attend the press conference at all and was spotted having a cocktail instead. Styles, 28, and Wilde, 38, arrived separately for the premiere of their movie 'Don't Worry Darling' at the Venice Film Festival.

The entire cast, including Nick Kroll, Pugh, Chris Pine, Wilde, Sydney Chandler, Styles, and Gemma Chan, posed for a group photo at the premiere of their film 'Don't Worry Darling' at the Venice Film Festival. In a recently discovered video, Styles can be seen graciously declining a request from one of Wilde's collaborators to switch places with his co-stars so he could stand near Wilde.

The 'Watermelon Sugar' singer walked forward and stood between Gemma and Sydney before being asked by a staff member to stand next to Olivia. He continued to stand between his two co-stars as if to refuse the request. As soon as this moment was posted on social media, fans went crazy and started tweeting that the 'As It Was' singer refused to pose with his girlfriend.

One fan tweeted with the video attached in all caps, "Someone from Olivia's team asked Harry to take pictures with her/stan next to her and he said no." Another admirer, who found the cast's drama to be too messy, wrote, "This cast drama is soooo messy for no reason." 

Another insightful fan noted, "He stuck to gemma like it was the end of the world," and this other person chimed in, "I just knew it, after arriving solo and not once interacting with her, he wouldn't stand next to her for the group photo. Hilarious."

Another fan thought that the cast drama was more compelling than the entire film wrote, "The handler asking Harry Styles to stand next to Olivia Wilde and he said no The drama around this film has to be more entertaining the film itself." 

This other fan who referred to Styles' behaviour as "professional" wrote, "He's there to promote the movie not the stunt. It's already unprofessional how it all started, I'm glad he's very professional and keeps his distance." Following reports that they were holding hands on January 20, 2021, Styles and Wilde have kept their relationship under wraps. Styles first met Wilde on the set in the autumn of 2020, when he took over Shia LaBeouf's role as the movie's main protagonist. Shortly after, the two started dating.
