Harry Styles and Will Ferrel to appear in last episode of 'Late Late Show with James Corden' as show debunks rumors about One Direction reunion
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The final episode of 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' is scheduled for Thursday, April 27, 2023, and the show has announced its star-studded lineup of guests. Joining Corden on the couch for the grand finale will be Harry Styles and Will Ferrell as the CBS late-night series brings its eight-year run to a close. The show has also lined up an impressive array of celebrity guests for its final weeks, including Ben Affleck, Bryan Cranston, Tom Cruise, Josh Gad, Jennifer Garner, Brett Goldstein, Kate Hudson, Allison Janney, the Kardashian family, Mila Kunis, Seth Meyers, Billy Porter, and Sharon Stone.
The Grammy-winning singer has been a regular presence on the show for several years, having made various appearances in the "Carpool Karaoke" segments and his own Crosswalk Concert. He also filled in for Corden as a guest host on several occasions. The singer's first appearance on the show was in 2015 when he was still a member of the popular boy band One Direction. On the other hand, Ferrell was among the show's earliest guests during its premiere week in March 2015 when Corden took over as the host.

Earlier, it was rumored that a possible One Direction reunion has been planned for the finale. But that was quickly debunked by CBS as they confirmed Harry Styles and Will Ferrell as two of their final guests. "Nobody loves the boys more than us … but this story just isn’t true. Why Will Ferrel and Harry Styles for the finale?
Will and Harry have a long history with the show. During the premiere week of The Late Late Show in March 2015, Ferrell and his Get Hard co-star Kevin Hart were guests on the third episode of the show. Ferrell made subsequent appearances in seasons 4 and 5 in 2018, and he also participated in Corden's Homefest during the COVID-19 pandemic. The actor's most recent appearance on the show was in June 2020, where he promoted his movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. In 2015, Styles made his debut on The Late Late Show as a member of One Direction, appearing on the 30th episode of the show's first season. The band made a comeback in season 2 in 2016 and even appeared in two Carpool Karaoke segments. Styles returned as a solo artist for a full week of shows in season 3 in 2017, and he also had two solo appearances in season 4. The singer continued to make appearances in seasons 5 and 6 before his final appearance on the show in season 8 last year.
