'Harder than Marvel': DCU fans can't keep calm as Batman and Supergirl's world meets 'The Flash'

The upcoming superhero movie 'The Flash' features Ben Affleck and Micheal Keaton as two different Batmans

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: New and thrilling trailers for several of the year's forthcoming blockbusters were released at Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, February 12, for audiences to enjoy. This also applies to the eagerly anticipated 'The Flash', which premieres in June. The Flashpoint-inspired plot, the appearance of former DC icons like Michael Keaton's 'Batman', and the debut of Sasha Calle's 'Supergirl' were all hinted at in the teaser. 

Officials have also recently shared new posters of all three superheroes which are looking cooler than ever. Fans can't seem to keep their excitement under control and have quickly taken to Twitter to show their excitement for one of the much-awaited movies of 2023.

What is the plot of 'The Flash'?

The official synopsis reads, "Worlds collide in “The Flash” when Barry uses his superpowers to travel back in time in order to change the events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to turn to. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian... albeit not the one he’s looking for. Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?”

'Supergirl has the best poster'

After the posters of the three superheroes were released, fans couldn't seem to control their excitement and are super-duper thrilled to see what DC has to bring to the big screens with these three favorite superheroes. One fan said, "Harder than Marvel." "Im glad dc is starting to hit their stride again excited to see what they do with this universe. Can’t wait to watch this", tweeted one user. Another one tweeted, "Posters kinda sexy not gonna lie. I dig it" Another fan tweeted, "Im already looking for second trailer!" Fans have really liked the posters, one tweeted, "These posters are so AMAZING!!! 🤩👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽" Supergirl's fans couldn't stop admiring her poster, "Supergirl has the best poster🤷🏻‍♂️ and after watching the trailer…, I‘m honestly most excited about her…"

'The Flash' is racing to theaters on June 16, 2023.
