When will 'Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham' release? Warner Bros confirm official date for DC movie

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 4K Blu-ray / Digital release date information for the upcoming movie 'Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham' has been revealed by Warner Bros Animation. 'The Doom That Came To Gotham', a DC Elseworlds story set in the 1920s and inspired by the miniseries written by Mike Mignola ('Hellboy') and Richard E Pace (Robert E Howard's 'Savage Sword') with art by Troy Nixey ('Harley Quinn'), pits Batman against Lovecraftian supernatural forces threatening the sheer existence of Gotham, including Green Arrow, Ra's al Ghul, Mr Freeze, Killer Croc, Two-Face, and many more.

'Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham', which debuted in 2022 at San Diego Comic-Con, is a remake of the three-issue comic book miniseries that ran from November 2000 to January 2001. The story, which was written by Mike Mignola and Richard Pace with artwork by Troy Nixey and Dennis Janke, was released under the "Elsewhere" label of DC Comics.

The cast of 'Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham'

 Batman will be portrayed by David Giuntoli (Grimm), while Kai Li Cain will be played by Tati Gabrielle (The 100), Oracle will be played by Gideon Adlon (Blockers), Green Arrow will be played by Christopher Gorham (The Lincoln Lawyer), Dick will be played by Jason Marsden (Batman: The Brave and the Bold), Lucius Fox will be played by Tim Russ (Star Trek Voyager), Thomas Wayne will be played by Darin De Paul (Shazam!) and Brian George (Batman: The Killing Joke) reprising his role as Alfred. 

The antagonists in the film are also well-equipped to defeat Gotham's hero. Along with Emily O'Brien ('Batman: The Enemy Within') as Talia Al Ghul and Patrick Fabian ('Better Call Saul') as Harvey Dent, Navid Negahban ('Aladdin') as Ra's Al Ghul. 'Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham' will see these villains having the chance to team up to destroy everything that their enemy stands for, which might mean that Batman's life flips upside-down. Horror has taken over the city.

When will 'Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham' release?

'Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham' is set to release on March 28, 2023. The DC animated movie will be available for purchase on digital, 4K, and Blu-ray. 

Batman may be the most difficult challenge in the DC Universe, but as this trailer showcases, 'Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham' promises to test every facet of the hero's persona while simultaneously dissecting every aspect of the city he protects from a manifestation of horrifying eldritch evil.
