Halsey's dating history: Singer confirms romance with Avan Jogia after splitting from Alev Aydin 5 months ago
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Halsey has officially confirmed a new romance with Canadian actor Avan Jogia, marking a new chapter in her love life, nearly five months after parting ways with her ex-partner and her baby's father, Alev Aydin.
The 28-year-old, a three-time Grammy nominee, who goes by she/they pronouns, was spotted engaging in a passionate display of affection with the 31-year-old former ‘Victorious’ star during a romantic date night in Los Angeles on September 18.
With a new romance brewing fresh, singer Halsey’s dating history has come under the spotlight.
Matty Healy
Halsey's initial widely recognized romantic involvement was with Matty Healy, the lead vocalist of The 1975.
Despite never officially confirming their relationship or its eventual dissolution, devoted fans have long speculated that Halsey's debut EP, 'Room 93', drew its name from a shared hotel room experience with Healy.
When queried about their rumored relationship in a 2015 Billboard interview, Halsey opted to maintain an air of ambiguity.
Lido
In 2015, Halsey was romantically entwined with Lido (birth name Peder Losnegård), who also served as the executive producer for her album 'Badlands'.
By August of that same year, the couple had parted ways. Yet, curiously, they continued to cohabit in Los Angeles.
In a 2017 interview with Dazed, Halsey revealed that she and the Norwegian musician collaborated on their respective albums, drawing inspiration from one another even after their separation.
Machine Gun Kelly
Halsey was first publicly linked with actor and rapper Machine Gun Kelly (born Colson Baker) in June 2016 when the duo made a striking red carpet appearance together at the premiere of his Showtime series, ‘Roadies’.
Although they never addressed their breakup publicly, it became evident that their connection had cooled by the following July when Halsey promptly dispelled speculations of their ongoing involvement on Twitter.
G-Eazy
In 2017, Halsey embarked on a high-profile, extensively documented relationship with G-Eazy (birth name Gerald Earl Gillum).
The pair's initial encounter occurred at a party, as recounted by G-Eazy in a Paper interview that same year.
Their romance played out in the public eye, marked by numerous affectionate red carpet outings and the release of their passionate duet, 'Him & I'.
However, after a year of togetherness, the couple decided to take a hiatus in July 2018, a fact Halsey confirmed on a now-expired Instagram story.
Mere weeks later, they seemed to have reconciled when seen holding hands at an MTV VMAs afterparty.
Their joint Italian vacation for Halsey's 24th birthday in October and their appearance together at the American Music Awards suggested a rekindling, yet by month's end, they had once again parted ways.
Yungblud
Halsey's next romantic connection was with English musician Yungblud (birth name Dominic Richard Harrison), their relationship commencing in November 2018.
Halsey initiated contact by sending a direct message, and their shared passion for music cemented their bond.
She also expressed heartfelt sentiments about Yungblud on the occasion of his 22nd birthday in August 2019 on Instagram.
Despite her tribute, the couple ultimately separated just one month later, with Halsey addressing the split on Twitter in October. The tweet has now been deleted.
Evan Peters
Subsequent to her separation from Yungblud, Halsey embarked on a relationship with actor Evan Peters.
Their first public sighting occurred in September 2019 at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles. One month later, they were seen leaving a Halloween party together, hand in hand.
Nevertheless, by March 2020, rumors circulated that their relationship had ended, reinforced by Halsey's removal of most photos featuring Peters from her Instagram.
Alev Aydin
Halsey's initial interaction with screenwriter Alev Aydin dates back to 2018 when their professional collaboration began, with Aydin slated to write a biographical film about Halsey's life.
Although Halsey and Aydin were initially seen together at an L.A. Lakers game in January 2019, they weren't romantically linked until the subsequent June, when they commemorated their bond with matching tattoos bearing the word "seeds" in each other's handwriting.
Halsey and Aydin welcomed their child, Ender Ridley Aydin, into the world on July 14, 2021. However, their paths diverged in April 2023.
