Halsey and G-Eazy spark dating rumors after being spotted together at VMAs after-party
It appears as though power couple Halsey and G-Eazy are back together again, or so certain sources claim. The pair were seen holding hands in New York City while leaving Post Malone's 2018 MTV VMAs after-party at Avenue nightclub. They were photographed together in the early hours of Tuesday morning giving rise to suspicions that they may be dating once again.
According to E Online, they are "working on their relationship" having broken up last month after a year of dating. Halsey had confirmed their split in an Instagram story, writing: "I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel I need to inform my fans."
"G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart. I'm eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and career, and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time," she continued.
The couple had initially begun dating in August 2017 after the premiere of their hit song 'Him & I' and soon confirmed their relationship in an Instagram post that has since been deleted. There was trouble in paradise less than a year later with Halsey removing multiple pictures of her and G-Eazy from her social media — including one wishing the rapper a happy 29th birthday. She soon followed that up with a confirmation of their split.
The two apparently never lost touch with one another since the breakup, with a source telling E Online that they have "been in touch" and that "they consider each other family and are on good terms now, but not fully back together."
Their run-in at Avenue nightclub was not a coincidence either. The source said that they both "knew they were both going to be out and about after the VMAs and it was planned to meet up after they made the rounds at the VMAs after-parties."
The former couple then headed towards G-Eazy's apartment, the source claims. "They wanted to do their own things during the night and didn't want to cause too much of a commotion. They left hand-in-hand after the Post Malone party at Avenue and went back to G-Eazy's hotel to continue the night," the source said, adding, "They are being casual right now, but are definitely working on things. They are both hoping they can have a healthy friendship if anything."
It remains to be seen whether they are back together or whether this most recent outing was just a one-time thing.
