'Game of Thrones' actress Gwendoline Christie, who recently revealed she had submitted her name for a Primetime Emmy nomination for her role in the HBO series, continued to talk about her role as Brienne of Tarth as she featured in her raciest photoshoot till date for the latest edition of GQ style magazine.

Christie revealed to the magazine that she would have waited for a lifetime to find a role like that and she now has to live the rest of her life with the possibility that she may not feel that alive ever again. The British actress, for her latest shoot, wore semi-sheer lingerie and black gloves and went for a minimal makeup look that complimented her short blonde hair.

In another of the pictures, she was seen posing in a plunging top while modeling a chic handbag. Christie, during the interview, reportedly spoke highly of her role in 'Game of Thrones', saying: "What occurred was a shift; something spoke to me and allowed me an insight into humanity. Thrones, and Brienne, together they gave me a lot of hope, and a lot of experience. I’ve been dealing with this idea of loss since I first got the character."

"Now, it’s about stepping into other worlds and other humans and allowing that to happen. It was so hard for so long. But a little bit of acceptance means a huge amount," she said.

The photoshoot and interview with GQ comes after she revealed last month that she had submitted herself for a Primetime Emmy nomination as "a testament" to her much-loved character Brienne of Tarth. The actress' move resulted in her being nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, along with her 'Game of Thrones' co-stars Sophie Turner and Lena Headey. The nominations were announced in July ahead of the event on September 22. The famed series has reportedly made history by setting the record for most nominations earned by a program in a single year.

Christie, while talking to the magazine, also revealed that "growing up, fashion for me was the most immediate way of transforming. Different energies. Different emotions. Different people. I think, because my body seems to draw such extreme responses from people, that, well... it’s fight or flight, isn’t it? Sink or swim."

"You either exist in a state of shame about not fitting into society or you embrace what you have. As time goes by, you become very aware of your own mortality and you want to inhabit who you are fully," she said.
