Gwen Stefani helping husband Blake Shelton drop those extra pounds by hiring a nutritionist and trainer
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani's marriage in 2021 was celebrated as a victory for unconventional couples everywhere. The couple's PDA-filled meetings have received a lot of attention since they first connected when they were both coaches on 'The Voice'. However, a few months ago, when followers noticed that Stefani had stopped sharing any of Shelton's pictures on Instagram, speculation was rife that their relationship may be ending.
These were just rumors as the couple was reportedly said to be happy in their marriage. Recently, a report has been making the rounds in the media that the 'Baby Don't Lie' singer was supporting her Country singer husband to lose weight because she "worries about his health," as per Radar Online.
'Gwen's taken charge'
According to insiders close to the couple, Stefani was helping Shelton to become fit. They said, "Gwen's taken charge and has got Blake on a healthy new diet and exercise plan," adding that the 'Early Winter' crooner wanted him to "spend the next few months focusing" as, "She worries about his health." She has reportedly hired a nutritionist and a trainer for the purpose.
It was previously reported that Shelton's closest associates claimed the 'God's Country' singer had put on over 50lbs since he married Stefani in July 2021, and it has now been alleged he had been "seriously sluggish" as a result.
"Blake's got no choice but to follow her instructions," sources said, adding, "When they go out to eat, he can't have anything with ice cream in it. Steak is also out of the question. He can have fish, chicken, vegetables and rice or a plain baked potato with no sour cream or butter. It's boring, but he has to admit he feels better."
'Blake's got to get his priorities right'
The couple will celebrate their second wedding anniversary on July 3 and have "exciting plans in the months ahead," according to sources. Speaking of the couple's plans to grow their blended family, sources said, "They still want a baby eventually, but in the meantime, Blake's got to get his priorities right."
