Piers Morgan seemingly ridiculed Greta Thunberg after Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Ahmed was awarded the prize to "achieve peace and international cooperation" after he signed a peace deal with Eritrea, as reported by Metro. Even though Thunberg received a lot of praise for her devotion towards stopping climate change, the 16-year-old, unfortunately, could not win the prize. However, one person who has not been so supportive about Thunberg's dedication is Morgan.

After finding out that Thunberg did not win, Morgan was quick to poke fun at the situation as he noted, "How DARE they actually give it to someone who forged peace?!!!!" hinting at the famous speech that Thunberg delivered which also caught the attention of various celebrities.

However, this is not the first time that Morgan had laughed at Thunberg and her contribution. He had even questioned her nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize as he tweeted, "What’s she done for peace, exactly?"

He even hinted that Thunberg has an anger issue as he further wrote in his tweet, "She’s got just very, very angry about climate change, abused loads of adults & terrified millions of children." Morgan also thought that the way Thunberg was trying to raise awareness about climate change wasn't apt, noting it is "melodramatic".

During his 'Good Morning Britain' segment he noted, "She’s highly impressive, a 16-year-old girl who is so articulate, so passionate, I’ve got no problem with that and climate change is a very serious issue, I get it all." He noted that it wasn't a pleasant experience watching Thunberg speak about climate change.

"There’s something I felt very uncomfortable watching it yesterday. It was all a bit melodramatic, end of the world, apocalyptic. I wonder the impact she’s now having on young people around the world watching this who must be thinking, “Oh my god, the world is literally about to end.” It’s not about to end," he said.

He concluded by stating, "I don’t want millions, if not billions, of young people, watching Greta do that kind of speech and genuinely think the planet is literally about to end because it isn’t. So climate change is serious, it should be dealt with, it’s an important issue, but it's not end of the world stuff in the way she’s portraying it, in my opinion."
