Robin Roberts says it’s ‘normal’ to be discouraged

On Instagram, ‘GMA’ host Robin Roberts faces the camera with a cheery smile as she begins her Monday motivation, “Good morning, good morning, Glam Fam…We hope that you had a restful weekend. Roberts continued, “In fact, if you never feel like giving up, maybe your dreams are too small. You gotta dream big! When that pressure comes, though, to be discouraged and to think you can’t take it anymore, that, my friends, is completely normal. Most of us feel that way at times. There is a way, though, to get your second wind and to run and not be weary. So what is it?”

“Wait on the Lord. Hope in the Lord,” said Roberts before she continued, “That doesn’t mean that you’re gonna sit around and be passive and complacent. The right way to wait is to give God praise, to talk about His greatness, to go through the day expecting Him to turn it around for you, not complaining, not discouraged.”

The ‘GMA’ host added, “As you wait, God will breathe a second wind into your spirit, strength, energy, passion, vision, and vitality. You won’t just come out of it the way you were. You will come out in wings like eagles’. Yes. Now the prayer… the prayer for today.”

Roberts then prayed, “Father, thank you. Thank you for your promise that as we wait upon you … You will renew our strength with a second wind and enable us to rise with wings like an eagle’s. So help us to shake off our weariness and take hold of your strength.”

“We believe- No, we declare that we are going to come out stronger, higher, and better off. In Jesus’ name, amen! … You go out there. Let’s get this week started! Have yourself a blessed day, and please be a blessing. Come on,” concluded Roberts.
