Good Morning America co-host Lara Spencer weds Rick McVey in a romantic ceremony
Lara Spencer first met her now-husband Rick McVey after a mutual friend set them up on a blind date, and the two have been inseparable ever since
Lara Spencer is officially off the market, for the Good Morning America co-host has tied the knot with her boyfriend of two years tech entrepreneur Rick McVey. The couple said their vows on Saturday in an outdoor ceremony in Vail, Colorado, in the presence of about 135 friends and family members, reports People magazine. Spencer first met her now-husband McVey after a mutual friend set them up on a blind date. He proposed to Spencer in January this year, and after a wait of eight months, the two are now officially a happily married couple.
For those who still do not know much about him, McVey is the founder, chairman, and CEO of MarketAxess, which is a publicly traded and successful financial technology company.
Spencer was walked down the aisle by her son Duff, who was dressed in a dark suit, white shirt and pink tie. The mother-son duo walked down the aisle while Christina Perri’s song “A Thousand Years” played in the background. The bride looked absolutely stunning in her sleeveless Adam Zohar lace gown, with a mermaid skirt and sheer cutouts. For the wedding ceremony, she decided to keep her hair up with some loose strands in the front, and a long white veil trailing her.
This is both Spencer and McVey's second marriage. Spencer was previously married to David Haffenreffer, with whom she shares two teenagers: her daughter Katharine and son Duff. On the other hand, McVey is also the father of three daughters, whom he shares with his ex-wife.
