LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jaafar Jackson, the 27-year-old rising star, showcased his remarkable dance skills as he was rehearsing for the upcoming biopic, providing fans with a preview of what is expected to be a memorable homage to the iconic singer Michael Jackson

He was spotted during the first day of filming on Monday, November 27, in Los Angeles

Who is Jafaar Jackson?

Jafaar Jackson is Michael Jackson's nephew who is set to play the "King of Pop" in the highly anticipated biopic 'Michael'. As per his IMDb, Jaafar is a singer, songwriter, and entertainer.

As a child, he wanted to be a professional golfer, but with time, he followed suit and entered the entertainment business. Jafaar, who is a seasoned piano player, embarked on his musical journey at the age of 12.

Jaafar is the son of Jermaine Jackson (Michael Jackson's older brother) and Alejandra Genevieve Oaziaza. His father, Jermaine, is a well-known singer, songwriter, and producer and was the second vocalist of the 'Jackson 5' after his brother, Michael. 

The couple got married in 1995 and went on to have two children, Jaafar in 1996 and Jermajesty in 2000. Alejandra and Jermaine eventually divorced in 2003, and the latter tied the knot with Halima Rashid in 2004.

During the filming initiation, Jaafar's resemblance to Michael Jackson was striking. Outfitted in black trousers with a distinctive gold stripe and a plain white shirt, Jaafar emulated his uncle's signature style.



 

His attention to detail, including the unfastened button-up shirt, echoed the 'Smooth Criminal' hitmaker's stage attire during performances of classics like 'Man In The Mirror'.
