LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Kardashians' star Kim Kardashian recently teamed up with some of the iconic faces for the new campaign of her shapewear brand, SKIMS.

However, social media users slammed Kim for always using models and actresses for the campaign.

Kim recently shared a video on her social media featuring Kim Cattrall, actress and singer Coco Jones, singer Nelly Furtado, 'Barbie' star Hari Neff and Lana Condor, who appears in the 'To All the Boys I've Kissed Before' series on Netflix.

Condor declares in the promo video, as she models a black scoop-neck look, "It feels like it was made for me."

Furtado says about her SKIMS look, "It's kind of like a mood lifter because the fabric feels so good on the body."

In Kim's SKIMS campaign, each woman chose their favorite look from the collection to model in the shoot.

However, social media users called out Kim in the comments of the SKIMS promo video.

An Instagram user questioned, "How much did you pay her for this!!!!"

Another user said, "Kim is dropping big $$$ for these models."

Another social media user suggested, "I would like to see these ads using real women too. Seeing celebrities is great but what does the average woman think about them and not just the skinny fit ones."

Another person noted, "I am sorry y’all are a bunch of liars not everybody wears skims because not everybody can afford them and casting is not at all relatable."

Another critic wrote, "Kim could have hired some common people like us."

Kim Cattrall recently starred in a new campaign for Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand and she appeared to be channeling her iconic 'Sex and the City' character, Samantha Jones.

The video posted on SKIMS' Instagram page teased the 'Best of SKIMS' campaign.

Cattrall said in the video, "How do I feel about SKIMS? Oh, you'd like to know, wouldn't you?" before winking at the camera.

Cattrall then showed off her black Sculpting Mid Thigh Bodysuit she was wearing and said, "Freakin' fabulous."

"SKIMS makes me feel free," she added later in the video, calling the shapewear her 'new best friend.'

While some of the fans dubbed Cattrall's casting 'iconic', others just couldn't think that was a great idea.

A social media user commented, "All the young girls/women are wearing skims...their dresses are viral and sold out and all over instagram. Kim Cattral is an icon it doesn't turn the younger generation off of skims."

Another user said, "How much did you get paid to say how good they feel."

Another critic noted, "Kim Cattrall is an icon but hiring her of skims was waste."

Another person wrote, "Hahaha!! Going for the @KrisJenner age demographic!! #SKIMS must be floundering badly!! Big mistake because young people don’t want grannies wearables!!"

Another Instagram user penned, "Samantha wouldn’t come back for Just Like That but came for SKIMS."

Kim Kardashian reveals how she created SKIMS

Kim Kardashian recently shared about how she created SKIMS in late 2019 while in a very 'vulnerable' place.

In her first TIME magazine cover story in June, Kim shared, "It’s just a part of me."

She added, "I take it really personally. It started off of my body and my shapes, and it’s very vulnerable."

The reality star further stated, "It started off with simply finding shapewear that was a skin tone that would match my color."

Kim further explained, "I used to take my shapewear and dye it with tea bags and coffee in the bathtub."

Kim Kardashian's SKIMS is now valued at around $4 billion

Kim Kardashian's SKIMS recently achieved unicorn status four times over after raising $270 million in a new funding round that values the company at $4 billion, according to The New York Times.

This marks an increase from its $3.2 billion valuation last year.

Initially, SKIMS was known for selling shapewear to help customers fit into body-hugging clothing.

However, the shapewear brand has now expanded its product line to include loungewear and swimwear, and it plans to venture into men's clothing later this year.
