Rookie actress Go Soo Jung passed away earlier in February at the young age of 25. She was known for her role as a ghost in the popular drama 'Goblin'.

Go Soo Jung debuted as a rookie through the 2016 tvN drama 'Goblin' starring alongside Gong Yoo, Kim Go-eun, Lee Dong-wook and Yoo In-na. The drama was a big hit, and despite Soo Jung's smaller role, she received positive feedback from viewers.

She was also seen in 'With Seoul', a Seoul promotional video featuring BTS, and has appeared in other several other productions including JTBC's 'Soloman's Perjury'.

The news of her passing was revealed by her entertainment label Story J through an Instagram post. Speaking to media outlets they said, "A few days ago, actress Go Soo Jung bid farewell to this world and became one of the bright stars in the sky." They also added, "We will always remember actress Go Soo Jung and her glowing smile which brightened the world. Please wish her a safe passage."

The actress' funeral took place privately on February 9. Her family and close friends were in attendance. Her company chose not to reveal her cause of death initially, however, she is now said to have passed away due to a fatal illness. No more details have been revealed.

Soo Jung's death sadly follows the passing of several young, talented, and promising Korean celebrities including idols Goo Hara and Sulli last year.
