Who is Ginger Zee's husband? 'GMA' meteorologist brings son Adrian on-set for adorable cameo on live weather report segment

The 'GMA' meteorologist Ginger Zee later posted photos from the shoot on her social media accounts

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Good Morning America’s chief meteorologist Ginger Zee brought her little son Adrian to work on June 19. Her seven-year-old son also took part in the morning segment of her weather report alongside her.

This is one of the rare appearances made by Zee’s children. Besides Adrian, the morning show host has another son with her husband Ben Aaron named Miles who is a 5-year-old. Aaron also belongs to the world of morning news and has been married to the 'GMA' host for the past nine years.

Who is Ginger Zee’s husband?

The ‘GMA’ weather reporter Zee has been married to her husband Ben Aaron since June 7, 2014. Aaron, full name Benjamin "Ben" Aron Colonomos, is a news personality himself and has previously hosted shows on networks like Radio Disney and NBC Universal. For the latter, he hosted ‘New York Live’ for which he went on to receive three consecutive Emmy Awards for “Best Features Reporter.” He is now working for the Emmy Award-winning PIX11 Morning News as a morning features reporter.

The ‘GMA’ weather reporter Zee has been married to her husband Ben Aaron since June 7, 2014. For the latter, he hosted ‘New York Live’ for which he went on to receive three consecutive Emmy Awards for “Best Features Reporter.” He is now working for the Emmy Award-winning PIX11 Morning News as a morning features reporter. A show titled ‘Ben Around Town’ as part of the morning news hosted by Aaron has also commenced airing from June 9, as announced on his Facebook page.

Aaron is a native of New York and has lived most of his life here. He only left the city to pursue higher education at Emerson College, Massachusetts. According to Zee’s interview with People, Aaron met Zee through a mutual friend at an event and then persuaded her to pursue a romantic relationship with him. After dating her for a while, Aaron proposed to the GMA host in 2013. Zee, being from Michigan, decided to have their wedding ceremony closer to her hometown. They welcomed Adrian, their elder son, in 2015 followed by Miles in 2018.

As she usually does, Zee went about reporting the weather this morning as well. It was after she transitioned to the next segment, there was a little surprise in the shape of Zee’s son Adrian. The 7-year-old boy looked quite shy to be in front of the cameras. "And I've got my little guy here. This is Adrian,” Zee announced as her son walked into her arms to give her a hug. Several people could be heard chuckling at the scene. 

"And coming up, this is what we're talking about,” Zee continued as she pointed at her son, “Now that school's out, how parents can slow kids' Summer time Brain Drain.” After introducing the next segment Zee asked her son, "Do you have brain drain yet, with one day off?" to which Adrian quietly shook his head. "No? Not yet. We did some addition this morning," Zee shared with a big smile as her son hung off of her.

Zee took to Twitter and Instagram to share more of her adorable son’s content with her fans. This is rather rare as Zee keeps her private life under wraps and seldom shares pictures of her family members. Zee shared a picture of her son lying down on the floor of the set with the caption, “Adrian now understands why mommy is always the strict one when it comes to early bedtime."

In another post shared on Instagram, Zee made a comparison between her son’s first appearance on 'GMA' years ago to the one he made today.
