'GMA' host Whit Johnson baffled after Sam Champion films himself floating effortlessly in the middle of ocean
MIAMI, FLORIDA: Former chief meteorologist of ‘Good Morning America’ Sam Champion has confounded the weekend host of the morning show, Whit Johnson with his effortless swimming technique in the Miami ocean.
Champion who is renowned for posting brief clips from his early morning swims in the Miami waters once again returned to Instagram to grace his followers from the middle of the ocean.
The 62-year-old kept himself afloat with a coffee mug in one hand and recorded himself with a camera held in the other hand.
This particular instance seems to have confused Johnson who commented on Champion’s clip asking him about his secret to keep himself afloat.

‘GMA’ host Whit Johnson perplexed by Sam Champion’s swimming technique
Champion started off the video by apologizing to his followers for not going live the previous day from his swim in the ocean.
He spoke about the early morning sky and responded to a few questions from the live session with his fans.
However, ‘GMA’ host, Whit Johnson who saw Champion’s video instantly commented on it, trying to “understand how Champion stays afloat” in the ocean
He wrote, “Still trying to understand how you stay afloat… with a coffee mug in one hand… camera phone in the other!”
Looking for answers to his conundrum, Johnson inquired about Champion’s serious swimming skills and said, “Do you have flippers?? Part merman? You know I love ya, brother.”
The former ‘GMA’ meteorologist later captioned the clip, "Good morning! #bringcoffee for an ocean swim this am!” and also shared a snap of himself to his Instagram story, holding a coffee mug with “#bringcoffee” imprinted on it.

Champion is known for his love for coffee. Only recently, the former ‘GMA’ star shared a brief clip from the wee hours of the morning, sitting on his rooftop enjoying a hot cup of coffee.
The meteorologist announced that he was on his way to the ‘GMA’ studio for a fun episode.
He took some questions from the fans and held the coffee cup for everyone to see.
