LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ star Robin Roberts has finally opened up about her impending marriage to long-time partner Amber Laign. The 62-year-old has been together with Laign for nearly 18 years, having met her on a blind date in 2005. Since then, the duo has gone from strength to strength and now has decided to take the next step in their relationship.
Roberts announced earlier that 2023 will be the year that she will marry Laign and it turns out that the ‘GMA’ host is seemingly keeping to her promise. In her latest series of 'Morning Message and Prayer' on Instagram, Roberts was poked by a fan who asked whether she is getting married in August, to which the famed host replied, “Not August. But you’re close.”

They commented, "There are only 4 remaining after August!” However, there’s still no exact date for when the pair will marry, but it seems to be sooner than anyone can expect especially the fans.
Robin Roberts' on-air announcement about her wedding to Amber Laign
In January 2023, the ‘GMA’ host revealed that she will tie the knot with her partner Laign, 44, at some point this year. Roberts said on the show, "I'm hesitating because I haven't said it out loud yet. I'm saying yes to marriage, we're getting married this year. We've talked about it, but we'd put it off because she became ill. But it is saying yes to that next chapter.”
Roberts' co-host George Stephanopoulos was on the seat next to her behind the desk and congratulated her right away. "Wonderful, Wonderful news!” Roberts later added, "We've been talking about it, and then to actually say it out loud, I'm very excited.” George, who is married to Ali Wentworth, said, "Well, welcome to the club."
