'GMA' host George Stephanapolous' wife Ali Wentworth recalls 'painful' postpartum detail in birthday post for daughter
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Good Morning America’ host George Stephanopoulos and wife Ali Wentworth’s older daughter, Elliott Anastasia Stephanopoulos, just turned 21. Wentworth took to Instagram to wish her daughter on this occasion with an emotional post.
In the post, Wentworth talked about the time Elliott was born, and how every time others would talk about Elliott growing up, it felt like an “insane thought” as Wentworth suffered from sleep deprivation and was in pain from “constant breastfeeding” during her postpartum period.
As Wentworth shared this emotional ode to her daughter, her fans and followers couldn’t help but sympathize with her and get “teary-eyed.”
Ali Wentworth shares emotional birthday message for daughter Elliott
On Instagram, ‘GMA’ host George Stephanopoulos’ wife, Ali Wentworth, shared ten pictures of her daughter Elliott. Each new picture was just as unique as the last and showed Elliott in different stages of her life.
Along with the pictures, Wentworth wrote, “When my eldest daughter, Elliott, was a baby, people would say- “they grow up so fast”… I was sleep-deprived and in pain from constant breastfeeding. It was an insane thought.”

She continued, “But today- that baby girl is 21. And you know what? It’s true. They grow up so fast. I love this incredible, fearless, brilliant, beautiful woman. And I wish I could stick her back in the stroller for just one more day….”
Fans emotional over Ali Wentworth’s message for her daughter
Ali Wentworth and ‘GMA’ host George Stephanopoulos’ fans and friends rushed to the comment section to applaud their 21-year-old daughter as some got emotional over the post.
