Friendship all the way! Robin Roberts misses out on 'GMA' to help co-star Lara Spencer with personal event
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ had a host missing during its Friday morning, May 19, broadcast. Robin Roberts, the star anchor of the show who graces American television screens every morning was not headlining the show, leaving fans to question, “Where’s Robin?” The answer however lies in her altruistic nature.
Robin missed the show to help out a friend and co-anchor Lara Spencer. Robin took time out of her schedule and went forward to help Lara with an extremely important personal event that involved Lara’s daughter Kate. But what was this crucial event?

Lara’s daughter, Kate, was graduating from Greenwich Academy. Robin came forward to deliver the commencement address at Kate’s high school graduation. Lara was extremely elated on receiving Robin’s help and took to Instagram to share her innate happiness. "How lucky is my Kate and the girls at Greenwich Academy to have had Molly King as their head of school for 19 years and Robin Roberts give the commencement address.” She further added, “Thank you Molly and Robin--you are both so inspirational.”
Robin and Molly, the head of Greenwich Academy wore ceremonial robes for the high school graduation. After reading Lara’s account on Instagram, Robin came forward and reciprocated her true warmth in attending the graduation. She wrote, “I was the lucky one…quite moving watching Kate and her classmates receive their diplomas and Molly celebrated for her 19 yrs of distinguished service.” She even went on to praise Lara as a magnificent mother. “You’re a wonderful mother Lara and reminded of that every time I’m around your dynamic duo of Kate and your son Duff!” But despite helping Lara, a work trip to Paris has also been keeping Robin away from the ‘GMA’ studios for a bit.

Robin was in Paris recently and shared a picture of herself talking to French basketballer Victor Wembanyama. The 19-year-old prodigy is a staggering 7’ 2 tall. Robin mentioned that her interview with Victor will soon be aired on ‘Good Morning America'. Victor plays in France’s top-tier men’s professional basketball league and the GMA anchor praised the youngster for an engaging conversation. “Such a pleasure to spend time in Paris with Victor Wembanyama,” Robin said who will soon return to the GMA studios.
