LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Good Morning America' host Michael Strahan seems to have made a habit of missing the broadcast on Mondays, leaving his studio desk empty and ready to be filled in by a substitute. This was the case yet again on Monday, August 7, when the viewers logged on only to find Strahan absent from the studio.

However, they weren’t surprised like last time, as the 51-year-old seemed a good reason for taking the break from the morning show. Turns out, Strahan was attending a Pro Football Hall of Fame ceremony to honor his friend and former NFL colleague Demarcus Ware. The 'GMA' host posted about it on Instagram, giving a clear reason for his absence from the show on Monday morning.

Michael Strahan inducts Demarcus Ware into 'Pro Football Hall of Fame'

Strahan had a good reason for his absence from 'GMA' this time around. Rebecca Jarvis filled in for him and the hosts went right into the news of the day without mentioning the reason behind the ex-NFL star not being present in the sudio. However, Strahan did update his Instagram about attending an NFL ceremony over the weekend, giving his fans the idea that it might be the cause behind him missing the morning show.

He was present in Canton, Ohio, for the Hall of Fame ceremony and honored Demarcus Ware, the outside linebacker for Denver Broncos in the NFL. Strahan presented Demarcus with the customary gold jacket to induct him into the Hall of Fame and later congratulated the entire class of 2023 who were initiated into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The 'The $100,000 Pyramid' host took to Instagram and shared the moment with followers, captioning the post, "Great night giving my brother @demarcusware his @profootballhof gold jacket that he very well deserves. Such an honor….. I’m humbled. Congrats to the entire class of 2023 on enshrinement into the HALL OF FAME!"

Michael Strahan’s been exploring new avenues outside ‘GMA’

The ex-NFL star has been absent several times from 'GMA' over the past three weeks due to preoccupations. As of late, he has tried out other avenues such as setting up his wellness brand, hosting 'The $100,000 Pyramid', as well as vying to become an F1 driver. These might have been the reason behind his continuous disappearances from the show, but nothing conclusive can be said. Moreover, many regular 'GMA' viewers speculate that Strahan might soon bid adieu to the morning show.
