While Olivia Rodrigo did not hold back her opinion on the US Supreme Court overturning the landmark 1973 Roe v Wade ruling, Megan Thee Stallion too slammed the latest decision when she landed on stage to perform at Glastonbury Festival 2022 in England on Saturday, June 25.

The ‘WAP’ hitmaker, who hails from Texas, blasted Roe v Wade overturn saying, “Texas is really embarrassing me right now.” This comes a day after the rapper took to Instagram to condemn the overruling by the US Supreme Court where she had stated that the court had failed them all. The US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Roe v Wade ruling happened on Friday, June 24. Musicians like Taylor Swift, Pearl Jam, Billie Eilish, Halsey, and Lizzo were amongst the first ones to speak against the court’s decision.

‘My body, my motherf**king choice’

Megan Thee Stallion paused between her set to address the issue saying, “You guys know it wouldn’t be me if I don’t take a second to call out these stupid damn men, I mean God damn, what else do you want?” adding, “Texas is really embarrassing me right now.” The 27-year-old emcee continued, “That’s my home state, and I want to have it on the record that the motherf***ing hot boys and hot girls do not support this b******* that you’re campaigning for. ‘My body my motherf***ing choice” asking the crowd to chant the same before concluding, “Let’s put all our middle fingers up right now.”

In an Instagram post a day earlier, Megan had shared a few facts related to the US Supreme Court’s decision. She captioned the post as “The court has failed us all- but we won’t back down. I’m going to keep fighting because everyone deserves access to the care they need.” The US Supreme Court reversed the landmark Roe v Wade ruling on Friday, putting an end to the constitutional right to abortion for women. The 1973 ruling had set in stone the woman's right to an abortion, but now the highly controversial 6-3 decision will allow individual states to permit or limit the procedure.
