'GMA' meteorologist Ginger Zee claps back at troll who claimed she 'dresses like a streetwalker'

'If this is what a stripper turned prostitute wears... I'm out of the loop,' Zee wrote

MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Ginger Zee, who usually starts her day covering the nation's weather headlines on 'Good Morning America' and across all ABC News broadcasts was caught off gaurd by one critique. The 41-year-old weatherwoman, however, maintained her composure and shot back at a critic for accusing her of "dressing and posing like a retired stripper turned streetwalker."

On Friday, Saturday 23, a troll wrote on Twitter, "Gingerzee dresses and poses like a retired stripper turned street walker," to which Zee responded by posting a picture of herself on the set of 'GMA', dressed modestly in a white blouse, black cardigan, and knee-length skirt. "I have been missing these harsh disses on Twitter lately. Thank you for the smile. Now, in this storyline you've invented, when was my turn to streetwalker? And how did I get into the GMA studios? If this is what a stripper turned prostitute wears... I'm out of the loop," she wrote.

Zee's tweet received dozens of responses as well as hundreds of likes from followers complimenting her on her intelligent and thoughtful response. One person wrote, "Great response. Maybe they think you had to turn trucks to pay for your Masters degree. It’s hard to be brilliant, classy and beautiful."

Another individual wrote, "Bless you Ginger for your lighthearted humorous approach to rude trolls. You're a smart beautiful woman. There's more of us than them," and a third chimed in, "Yes Ginger you are beautiful but! What makes you even more beautiful is your honesty about who you are and that just inspires me everyday thank you Ginger for sharing your knowledge everyday with us."

There has already been a previous incident where online bullies attacked Zee for her apperance. A person once referred to the mother-of-two as a "hooker" because of the way she wore her hair and did her makeup. "Ouch i think @Ginger_Zee needs to fire her stylists (esp. Makeup) its a tad stark and reminiscent of bad 80's punk/hooker. A beautiful lady though... more natural wounld be a better way to go," they wrote.

Zee responded to the tweet writing, "I didn’t know a lot of “80s punk/hookers” as mentioned below — but unfortunately I can’t fire my stylist, makeup or hair — BECAUSE ITS ME. Y’all are fired up this Friday. I’m loving it. Also, enjoy your weekend!" Zee has successfully held the position of 'GMA's chief meteorologist since the year 2013. The California-native married TV personality Ben Aaron in 2014 and the couple share two boys, Adrian and Miles.
