Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik seen locked in warm embrace on her 25th birthday celebrations in quarantine
Gigi Hadid rang in her 25th birthday on April 23! The supermodel’s birthday celebrations were very low-key, thanks to the ongoing pandemic. Gigi still seems to have had a blast with her family and friends. She posted a few pictures from her celebrations on her Instagram handle as well. One of the pictures from the series she posted, features her boyfriend Zayn Malik hugging her while she holds a balloon, other photos include her family and her beautiful birthday cake which was baked by the legendary baker, Buddy Valastro.
Gigi rarely posts pictures of herself and Zayn, so we were delighted to see her musician boyfriend in her celebration pictures. Zayn and Gigi have been in an on-off relationship since 2015. The couple has broken up several times, only to find their way back to each other. Rumors of them dating began doing rounds after the former ‘One Direction’ singer was spotted with Gigi in 2015, following his infamous text breakup with fiancé Perrie Edwards.
The rumors refused to die down despite both of them insisting that they were just “good friends”.
After Gigi appeared in Zayn’s music video ‘Pillowtalk’, the rumors of them dating only got stronger, forcing them to finally admit that they were seeing each other. Soon, the couple’s pictures were on every magazine cover. Unfortunately, their romance was short-lived, for they decided to call it quits in March 2018. Both of them announced their split on Twitter with emotional messages, Zayn even unfollowed Gigi and her mother Yolanda, although they continued following him on social media.
But just a month later, the two were spotted making out with each other. Around that time, when Zayn was asked in an interview about the couple’s relationship status, he insisted that he didn’t want to put a label on it. He said, “I’m really thankful that I met her…We’re adults. We don’t need to put a label on it, make it something for people’s expectations. I had a very negative outlook on things [while recording my first solo album]. That might have been adolescence or testosterone or whatever the f*ck was running through my body at the time. She’s helped me to look at things from a positive angle,”
The couple however made their relationship official once again on Instagram. Gigi was even spotted rocking a necklace which said “Zayn”. The couple continued delighting fans with their lovely couple pictures for a while. Out of blue, the duo went mum. No pictures of them were available on social media anymore, even though, Zayn once again unfollowed Gigi. Few months later, Gigi was spotted around the town with ‘The Bachelorette’ contestant Tyler Cameron.
This led Zayn to tweet a series of tweets showering praises and love towards his ex. The couple once again seemed to have made up right around the time of Valentine's Day, for they were pictured celebrating together. Gigi even posted an old photograph of them together while she was in quarantine going through old pictures.
