Zayn Malik UPSET about Gigi Hadid's alleged romance with Leonardo DiCaprio as he still hopes to reunite
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Things are getting heated up between Gigi Hadid and Leonardo DiCaprio following his break-up with his ex-girlfriend from Camila Morrone. But the possibility of a romance between the two is not welcome news for Zayn Malik, who was Gigi’s boyfriend for six years before they broke up and also the father of her little girl Khai.
The dating rumors about Hadid and DiCaprio spread like a forest fire after the ‘Titanic’ actor was spotted getting close to the supermodel, 28, at a party in New York City on Monday, September 13. Following the photo leak of the two getting cozy, a mutual friend of the couple, told Page Six that they are “taking it slow.” The source further revealed that the pair is hanging out together but the two are still “getting to know each other.”

However, this brewing closeness has upset the former One Direction star. “Zayn still has hopes of reuniting with Gigi. They’re on good terms right now for their daughter’s sake but he’s made it clear he would love another chance with her so all of this news about her and Leo has been upsetting for him,” a source close to the singer told Hollywood Life. “Gigi is doing her best to manage it all, but it’s definitely stirring up drama on Zayn’s side that she’s having to deal with,” the source added.
The relationship between Zayn, 29, and Gigi, 27, first came to light back in 2015. The couple dated each other for six years and became the proud parents of their little daughter Khai, born in September 2020. But sadly, the pair decided to call off their relationship in late 2021 after Zayn indulged in a physical altercation with Gigi’s mom, Yolanda Hadid, at the former couple’s home in Pennsylvania. While the singer denied the allegation of striking Gigi’s mother, he pleaded no contest to four counts of harassment in court documents and was sentenced to 90 days probation for each of the four counts. The singer was also forced to attend an anger management class, which he must complete.
In a twist, the source close to the supermodel felt that Zayn doesn’t have to worry too much as Gigi, though flattered by Leonardo’s interest, is not looking for something serious at the present moment. “Leo’s clearly got an interest in Gigi, he’s been pursuing her, but she’s playing it very cool because dating just isn’t a priority for her right now, between her daughter and everything she has going on with work, she has her hands full,” the insider revealed to Hollywood Life.
Another source close to Gigi revealed that the supermodel is currently focusing on her career and her daughter. She has wholly called the idea of dating Leonardo. “People keep telling her what a catch he is and she isn’t completely closed off to the idea of dating him, but it’s just not where her head is at, at the moment,” the source explained. “She’s enjoying his friendship and getting to know him better for the moment.”
