Honey Boo Boo shares wishlist for graduation gifts

Honey Boo Boo, aka Alana Thompson, has found herself at the center of controversy once again. This time, it's over her graduation gifts. After fans inquired about sending her gifts for her recent high school graduation, Alana took to Instagram to set the record straight. "I finally made an Amazon graduation wish list," Alana wrote. "I'm ok with people sending gifts on my CashApp as well." She also added a clarification, "I'm not begging, no one is ever obligated to give me anything."

Despite her efforts to clarify her stance, some fans still accused her of asking for gifts and criticized her for it. However, Alana was quick to shut down any negativity, stating that she was simply doing what was asked of her. "I am simply doing what I'm asked to do," she said. "Nobody is ever obligated to give me anything. I'm just giving y'all options because some people were asking for it."

'People do not need to spend their hard-earned money on you'

While Honey Boo Boo's fans were eager to congratulate her, some took the issue with her response to those asking how they could send her gifts. The backlash was swift, with many accusing her of "begging" for gifts. In response to the criticism, one follower said, "Just ask for a simple congratulations!! A sweet note is just fine! And better wishes will come your way." Others echoed this sentiment, with one person commenting, "I highly doubt that strangers are asking you to send you gifts." Some fans even went so far as to suggest that Alana get a job, rather than asking for gifts. They said, "Nothing get a JOB !!! Congrats."

While some comments were critical, others were more lighthearted. One fan jokingly said, "I am sending nail clippers," while another suggested, "I would rather spend the money on someone who really really needs it. maybe you should too". However, one comment, in particular, stood out from the rest. A follower mentioned a video they saw that featured Alana cursing and putting people down. This follower expressed disappointment and sadness, stating, "I would have sent you something because I was very proud of you graduating.. however, the video I saw on Elle Bee was just saddening to me. You were cursing and putting people down. I am pretty upset."
