The times are changing. In the wake of George Floyd's tragic death, social media is buzzing with massive protests. To stand for the cause, celebrities are coming in support of #BlackLivesMatter and joining the masses to raise their voice against systemic racism. Hollywood heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio is the latest actor to have asked for help to donate to organizations that work towards combating racism.

Sending out a message to his fans and followers, his tweet read: "I commit to listen, learn, and take action. I am dedicated to end the disenfranchisement of Black America. I will personally donate to the following organizations. Please join me in supporting @ColorOfChange, @fairfightaction, The @NAACP, & @eji_org." His words soon reached several fans and they thanked him for spreading the word through his platform.

"As a 'stan' of yours for 20+ years, thank you for contributing. Please continue to show as much support to this cause as you do to so many environmental protection causes," one said and another posted, "Thanks for using your platform! Every voice helps." One fan wrote, "That’s all we take the good we do to our children have a better world to leave on amen keep up the good work Leonardo." One fan cheered him and said, "F**k yeah Leo, this is how WE CHANGE THE WORLD," and another wrote, "President Leo!" One said, "King of the world!"

Many couldn't help but list out some of the favorite films that he had acted in. "Nice going young Leonardo DiCaprio you are a fine man for sure.. also a favorite actor... Next to Kirk Douglas and Bruce Willis of course. Top 3 baby." One went on to post, "Which Is Your Favorite Film Of DiCaprio: Shutter Island or Inception?" and another said, "You were awesome in Django!" One, however, mocked him saying: "I saw Titanic twice in the theater so you can add 14 more bucks to whatever you were going to donate."

Of course, there were a few who couldn't help but slam him saying that the organizations were all white-run. "Listen and learn what exactly? Barrack Obama is a better public speaker than me and I've had my life saved by a black man. What else do you need to learn?" one posted and another said, "Those are all white ran organizations... you will only be helping to continue the oppression of black ppl. NEXT! (sic)." One questioned him about his donations: "How about transparency in your donations? Your foundation's tax returns are not public. They're hidden in a west coast umbrella return. Make them available. Show the good work you're doing." With more celebrities and people speaking up against racism, hopefully, we are heading towards a better world?
