George Clooney, Elton John are fighting over who'll be Meghan and Harry's 'go-to celeb' when they're in LA
According to a latest report, Elton John and George Clooney are locked in a power struggle and the winner gets to spend maximum time with Meghan Markle and Harry when they fly down to Los Angeles to spend their summer.
After stepping down as senior members of the royal family, Harry and Meghan have mostly restricted themselves to Vancouver Island, Canada, getting used to a life that is no longer schedule-bound or exposed to extreme public scrutiny.
But rumors are that the couple is planning to hop down to the US - Meghan's homeland - to enjoy a vacation with A-list celebrities, all of whom formed their inner friend circle.
Among the group of celebrities, Elton and George are considered the crème de la crème. Although the couple has not released any official statement regarding what they plan to do once they get to California, both the celebrities are ready to prove that the royal couple considers them the closest by trying to spend as much time as possible with them.
“They each see themselves as Meghan and Harry’s go-to Hollywood star,” an insider told Radar Online. “There are huge bragging rights at stake over who gets to see them more often when they relocate to North America."
Since the former 'Suits' actress is rumored to have retained her Hollywood team of agents and publicists and eyeing further show business projects, there is a significant chance that she will be looking to reconnect with big names from the entertainment industry. As a result, the Clooneys are reportedly unhappy that the 'England's Rose' has made all the preparations to hog the limelight around Meghan.
“George and Amal aren’t impressed by Elton’s arrogance," the source confessed. “Especially as he’s running around town telling everyone who’ll listen that he looks forward to organizing the Sussex’s social calendar.”
Mea WorldWide (MEAWW) previously reported that the couple was slated to hang out with actress Jennifer Aniston in the US after they meet her in Canada in a few months as the 'Friends' actress goes to Canada to shoot for her upcoming movie.
“Jen [Aniston] will be up in Canada by June or July to start filming, all being well, plus there will be plenty of opportunity (sic) for them to hang out in LA once Meghan and Harry are in town,” the insider added. “They’re looking forward to getting together.”
