JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING: A witness in the Gabby Petito case recently revealed that Brian Laundrie flipped out at a Wyoming restaurant during their trip and became so "aggressive" with the staff that Petito was forced to apologize for him. This incident took place at the Merry Piglets restaurant in Jackson Hole and it came two days after Petito spoke to her mother Nicole Schmidt. “I have chills right now,” Nina Celie Angelo, the witness who came forward with this information, told Fox News “It’s crazy because it wasn’t just like we passed them on the street. It was a full-blown incident.”

According to Angelo's statement, she saw Laundrie “aggressively” arguing with the restaurant staff when she was at the Tex-Mex eatery around 1 pm on August 27. Angelo believes that the argument was over the duo's bill. She apparently saw Laundrie storm out of the restaurant and return four times and Petito later entered the restaurant and apologized for her boyfriend's behavior. A few hours after this incident, Angelo and her boyfriend, Matthew England, passed Laundrie and Petito's white 2012 Ford Transit van north of town.

In an Instagram post on September 22, the restaurant also referred to the vlogger couple's presence. "Yes, we can confirm Gabby and Brian were in Merry Piglets…We have already notified the FBI and they are aware. We are letting them do their jobs and we are respecting Gabby's family and have nothing further to comment," the restaurant posted.

Petito's mother told police that the same day, she received an "odd text" from Petito's phone, where she referred to her grandfather as “Stan”, a word she never used to refer to him. "Can you help Stan, I just keep getting his voicemails and missed calls," the message read. The Internet is speculating hat Stan was a reference to the Eminem hit in which a man tied up his pregnant girlfriend before ending her life.

Hours after Petito's body was discovered on September 19, police swarmed Laundrie's home which has been declared a "crime scene" on Monday morning, September 20. FBI agents removed Laundrie's parents from the residence after announcing they had a search warrant. In July 2021, Petito set off from Florida on a cross-country van trip with her fiancé. Laundrie came back home from the trip, without Petito accompanying him in September. She was reported missing on September 11. Later, amid a nationwide search for the missing girl, Laundrie disappeared. Petito's body was later discovered and police confirmed that her death was a homicide. Laundrie's whereabouts are still unknown.

Laundrie's behavior has been strange from the start itself, leading him to be named as a person of interest in Petito's case. According to Petito’s parents, they last heard from their daughter at the end of August and claim Laundrie never contacted them about his return or let them know that he was no longer with her.
