Spoilers for ‘From’ Season 2 Episode 3

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: If you have been watching ‘From’ Season 2, chances are you have missed seeing Boyd Stevens on your screen as much as the previous season. Luckily, ‘From’ Season 2 Episode 3 makes up for the lack of his absence. Shockingly enough, this episode had more tender moments than one would have expected, although they have balanced out by a jump scare or two, so the horror fans need not worry!

‘From’ Season 2 Episode 3 shifts focus to different storylines, one of which puts Boyd right in the middle as he resumes his duties as sheriff. Not only that, but he was also there for Ellis Steves as a father. Maybe this is exactly what ‘From’ Season 2 needed at this moment because, by the looks of it, things are about to get a lot scarier moving forward.

Boyd and Ellis share a moment

‘From’ Season 2 Episode 3 starts on a surprisingly heartwarming note when Ellis and Boyd have a confrontation. What starts off as their usual bitter bickering, quickly turns into Ellis confiding in Boyd about Fatima Hassan and her current state of mind. Boyd gives Ellis some fatherly advice, and seeing them bond really presented as a ray of sunshine amongst a cloud of pure darkness. They even share a hug, and Boyd asks Ellis to get her a proper ring. The father-son duo takes up the first ten minutes of ‘From’ Season 2 Episode 3, and absolutely no one will complain about it! Hopefully, as the series progresses, there are a few more scenes of them together, although their bonding could be foreshadowing something darker.

Boyd resumes his Sheriff duties

If there’s one person Ellis and the entire town needs right about now, it is Boyd. With Jim Mathews injured, and people dying every episode, there has to be someone who is level-headed. While Boyd might not have the solution to everything happening, he can definitely steer people in the right direction, and take the steps needed. In ‘From’ Season 2 Episode 3, a passenger from the bus, Kelly, is on the brink of death. The monsters tortured her enough but left her to die with a stick plunged through her forehead and stuck into the tree. Kristi Miller, Ellis, and Kenny Liu were all there for her, but when it came to putting Kelly out of her misery, Boyd took charge. Despite the toll ending someone’s life takes him, he does it so someone else doesn’t have to. That’s what Boyd Stevens is all about.

You can stream ‘From’ Season 2 on MGM+ from April 23, 2023.
