LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'From', which is streaming on MGM+, previously affiliated with EPIX, was one of the most critically acclaimed series with a unique premise and a range of brilliant characters of 2022. When the series got renewed for another season, fans were thrilled and that brings us to 'From' Season 2 Episode 1. The premiere of this particular episode has been much anticipated by the fans, especially after all the mysteries that were set up in the previous season. Now that 'From' Season 2 is here, things are about to get a lot more intense.

There's both good and bad in waiting every week for a new episode, but when it comes to mysterious horror fiction like 'From' waiting might not be the worst idea, unless you're incredibly impatient. John Griffin continues to do a phenomenal job with 'From' Season 2, and this is only just the beginning.

EPIX's 'From' finale fan theories: Will Boyd turn into a monster and will Jim Matthews die in Season 2?

Things get worse for the townsfolk

If you're a fan of horror fiction or just immaculate mysteries, then 'From' needs to be on the top of your watchlist. The first season received stellar ratings and a huge fan following, and without a doubt, 'From' Season 2 is going to follow in the footsteps, or at least that's what we can gather from the first episode. It is incredibly important that the first episode of any series or season is a strong one, and 'From' has succeeded in doing just that.

There are no time skips, no new chapters, and nothing that would take you out of the previous season. In fact, 'From' Season 2 Episode 1 follows the aftermath of the previous season, and picks up right where they left off. So, if you need a little walk down memory lane, we highly recommend watching 'From' Season 1 Episode 10 to get a better idea. You wouldn't want to be as lost as Tabitha is this new season.

'From' Season 2 Episode 1 stays true to its genre of "horror fiction" because things are getting a lot scarier in every sense possible. Not just that, but the mysteries are digging deeper, and the first episode raises more questions than solves these mysteries. The main focus of 'From' Season 2 Episode 1 remains on the unknown bus that we only had a glimpse of in the season finale of the previous season.

The unknown bus in 'From' Season 2

The bus served as a cliffhanger of sorts and 'From' Season 2 Episode 1 focuses largely on this bus and the passengers. Viewers are definitely in for plenty of surprises. The first episode of the latest season has established a tone that will be continued for the rest of the season, or at least that’s something one can hope for. There were some well-timed jump scares, stormy weather, gunshots, and of course, the monsters.

This episode focussed more on establishing the pace for the rest of the season, while also focusing on the content in hand. It might not have been the strongest episode of the series so far but it definitely deserves all the attention.

Once again, several questions have risen by the end of this episode, and in some ways, that’s the beauty of the entire series and welcomes plenty of fan theories. It will keep you on your toes, biting your nails, and wishing you could press play and watch another episode. Sadly, viewers will have to wait another week to learn more about what’s going to happen next. Most importantly, the cast members and their performances continue being impeccable in ‘From’ Season 2, and the latest season has also potentially welcomed a plethora of new characters!

You can stream 'From' Season 2 Episode 1 on MGM+ from April 23, 2023.
