Spoilers for ‘From’ Season 2 Episode 2

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The creators of ‘From’ are definitely not holding back this season, and they have established that fairly early on in the second episode itself. If you thought things were bad in ‘From’ Season 1, you might have to prepare yourself a little more for the latest season. As the mysterious bus arrives, the passengers panic, and things aren’t looking good for anyone. All thanks to the phenomenal performances of the cast members, our hearts go out to the characters.

In the first episode of ‘From’ Season 2, there were several subplots formed when the characters broke out into groups, embarking on their own journey, even if it wasn’t willingly. Tabitha Mathews and Victor were underground, so close to the monsters as they slept, meanwhile, Jim Mathews and Tom were trapped under the debris of the fallen house, hoping to help Tabitha. Without a doubt, everyone was hoping their favorite characters made it out alive, and at least till the fourth or fifth episode of this season, but does that happen?

Does Jim remain trapped in ‘From’ Season 2 Episode 2?

Jim has been an important character on ‘From’ from the very first season, and so has his entire family. They accidentally stumbled upon the town and were stuck, much like anyone else. Despite their hesitance at first, Jim and Tabitha became a part of the community, and Jim was hell-bent on getting everyone out of there. They were finally making strides until a mysterious bus arrived in town, and simultaneously, Tabitha gets trapped under a house. Despite everything happening, all Jim needs to do in that moment, is save his wife.

The first episode largely focussed on the bus, but there were other subplots too, one of which included Jim being trapped under the debris as the house collapses on him. By the end of the episode, he was stuck there with Tom and a passenger from the bus. Frankly, everyone was hoping that ‘From’ Season 2 Episode 2 would have Jim out of there, but that wasn’t the case. Believe it or not, throughout the entire episode, Jim continues to remain trapped.

A brutal ending with a silver lining

Julie Mathews is convinced that her father died a horrific death trapped under the remains of the house. There were three people under there, including Jim, Tom, and the passenger, and only one remains alive. The passenger died a painful death at night, choking on his own blood as he looks at Tom with pleading eyes, but there was nothing anyone could have done. We had our fingers crossed for Tom and Jim until a monster made it past the barricade, killing Tom in an instant.

Until the end of the episode, it looks convincing enough to believe that Jim has died too. But, as Julie calls out for her father, he finally wakes up, and there’s that ray of hope. ‘From’ has a lot of brilliant and loved characters, and the creators are treading carefully, and fans will be pleased. Jim is alive, and as safe as one can be in this town…but for how long?
