NFL star Travis Kelce and the melody queen Taylor Swift have set off rumors about their speculated romantic escapades

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI: Taylor Swift's surprise appearance at Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs game on September 24 sent shockwaves through the world, leaving many thrilled and excited.

However, for some, there might be confusion about how this blossoming romance actually started.

2016: Travis plays the the viral game, Kiss, Marry, Kill

Travis Kelce engaged in the popular viral game, "Kiss, Marry, Kill," where he had to choose between pop icons Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift. Kelce said, "Kill is Ariana".

"Sorry, love you, but you’re gone,” he continued.

He the finally said, “And then Taylor Swift would be the kiss. And what’s the last one? Katy Perry? Yeah, Katy Perry would be the marry." 

July 8, 2023: Travis Kelce at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour

In July, keen-eyed Swifties noticed Travis Kelce at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour held at Arrowhead Stadium.

Not surprisingly, he is familiar with venue as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs who frequently plays on this field.

Later, he revealed that he did try to talk to Taylor but his efforts were in vain.

July 26, 2023: Kelce tries to give Swift his phone number 

During an episode of his podcast, 'New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce', the 33-year-old football star, Travis Kelce, openly confessed that he had attempted - albeit unsuccessfully - to give Taylor Swift his phone number following his attendance at her Eras Tour concert.

In a nod to Swiftie tradition, Kelce had even crafted a friendship bracelet for the pop star but was he was left disappointed when his efforts didn't unfold as he had hoped.

"I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," Kelce said.

Although it appeared that Travis Kelce might have missed his chance to ask Taylor Swift out on a date, there was still hope on the horizon.

According to a source cited by The Messenger, the two spent time together in New York City, suggesting that a potential connection was still in the works.

September 14, 2023: Travis' brother, Jason Kelce keeps secrets

Amidst the escalating dating rumors surrounding Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift in September, his brother Jason opted to stay tight-lipped when questioned by Prime's Thursday Night Football panel, choosing to "plead the fifth" and not comment on the matter.

“I’ve seen these rumors. I cannot comment,” Jason told panelist and retired NFL star Tony Gonzalez.

September 16, 2023: ESPN references Swift in Kelce's report 

In an ESPN SportsCenter segment, reporter Adam Schefter playfully alluded to the dating rumors surrounding Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift while discussing the player with anchor Kevin Negandhi.

Schefter cleverly incorporated Swift's song titles into his commentary, adding a touch of humor to the conversation.

"It was a little bit of a Cruel Summer for Travis Kelce with that knee injury but he can see the Daylight, Kevin," he continued, referring to Swift's songs. 

September 17, 2023: Kelce shrugs off NFL’s Taylor Swift commentary

The humor didn't let up as NFL Network's Rich Eisen seamlessly wove Taylor Swift references into his conversation about Travis Kelce in anticipation of the Kansas City Chiefs' matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Eisen consistently employed Swift-themed puns and comedic elements, even using them in his caption for an uploaded content, saying, "Look what you made me do, @killatrav'.

Travis Kelce, demonstrated his own lighthearted approach to rumors, quipping, "Well played Rich.... Well played."

September 21, 2023: Kelce asks Swift on a date! 

Not long after, Travis Kelce clarified matters during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

During the interview, he detailed his proactive approach in extending an invitation to Taylor Swift to attend his Arrowhead Stadium performance.

Interestingly, it was the very venue where Taylor Swift had previously hosted the concert as part of her Eras Tour.

September 24, 2023: It's a date, Swift attends Kelce’s game 

Swift sent both her devoted Swifties and football enthusiasts into a whirlwind of excitement when she unexpectedly popped up at Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs game on September 24th.

Observers caught a glimpse of the singer as she watched the game from Kelce's VIP suite, accompanied by his mother, Donna.

Later on, she was captured on camera, enthusiastically cheering as Kelce successfully scored a touchdown.

After the game, the duo was spotted exiting together, with Swift sporting Kansas City Chiefs attire and Kelce sporting a blue and white denim ensemble reminiscent of her iconic 1989 album era.
