‘Fridays for Unity’: Date, time, how to stream and all you need to know about virtual live show starring AOC, Billie Eilish and Princess Nokia
With the presidential elections just around the corner, politicians and celebrities are throwing their complete weight behind the preferred candidate; be it incumbent President Donald Trump or Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. While rapper Lil Wayne spoke in favor of Trump, numerous celebrities are ready to convince the voting population to get behind Biden. The latest in this attempt is Rolling Stone, the online magazine, hosting conversations between politicians and celebrities, and having multiple musical artistes perform on their live-stream show titled 'Fridays for Unity'. Here's all you need to know about the event.
What will the event entail?
The conversations hosted by Rolling Stone will be between Bernie Sanders and Killer Mike, and between Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Princess Nokia. While Killer Mike is one-half of the highly political rap duo Run the Jewels, Princess Nokia is a gender non-conforming rapper of Puerto Rican descent. The event will also feature Pete Buttigieg in conversation with actor Paul Rudd, and Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown and his wife, author Connie Schultz, speaking with the National frontman Matt Berninger. The virtual live event will be hosted by Baratunde Thurston, the co-founder of the black political blog Jack and Jill Politics.
There will be musical performances by Aloe Blacc, Wallows, Local Natives, Margo Price and Adia Victoria, Head and the Heart, Cautious Clay, Portugal. The Man, Warren Haynes, Gus Dapperton, Nick Forster and The Head and the Heart. The event will also have guest appearances by Billie Eilish, Issa Rae, Elizabeth Warren, Ayanna Pressley, Stephen Curry, Keke Palmer, Sarah Silverman, Judd Apatow, Padma Lakshmi, Yardages Shahidi, Willie Nelson, Gabrielle Union, Yara Shahidi, Simone Sanders, Stacey Abrams and Jidenna. Artiste Jenny Holzer will showcase pieces from her 'You Vote 2020' series.

Date and time
Sanders’ chat with Killer Mike will be part of the main 'Fridays for Unity' event, airing on Friday, October 30, at 8 pm ET, while Ocasio-Cortez and Princess Nokia will anchor a special bonus conversation on Monday, November 2, at 12 pm. The event will begin to air on October 30 at 8 pm ET.
