Freeform renews 'Marvel's Cloak & Dagger' for a second season
'Marvel's Cloak & Dagger' has been renewed for a second season at the Disney-owned cable network Freeform, putting an end to fans' speculation and fears the show would be axed. The good news was delivered by the panel at the show's first appearance at the San Diego International Comic-Con this past week, with the series set to begin airing a new round of 10-episodes for its upcoming season in spring 2019.
Fans gathered in Ballroom 20 at the Comic-Con on Friday were the first recipients of the news, with stars Olivia Holt (Tandy Bowen/Dagger), Aubrey Joseph (Tyrone Johnson/Cloak), Emmy Lahana (Brigid O' Reilly), and Ally Maki (Mina Hess) appearing alongside executive producers Joe Pokaski — who also created the show and serves as showrunner —and Jeph Loeb to make the announcement.
