SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: 'Frankly Speaking', the hit Netflix K-drama directed by Jang Ji-yeon and penned by the witty Choi Kyung-sun. This 12-episode whirlwind, dropping every Wednesday and Thursday, throws a curveball in Episode 9, starring Go Kyung-pyo as the truthful news anchor Song Ki-baek and Kang Han-na as the talented writer On Woo-ju.

The episode opens with a tangled web of emotions. Woo-ju grapples with the news of Kim Jeong-heon's (Joo Jong-hyuk) apology, while Ki-baek witnesses Jeong-heon's confession, leaving him flustered and jealous.

However, soon Woo-ju's world is rocked and joy curdles as she overhears the director proposing a future for the show without her. A colleague defends Woo-ju's importance, but the director's power leaves Woo-ju questioning her value.

Now burdened by insecurity, Woo-ju's creativity suffers, hindering her ability to write new scripts. Can Woo-ju overcome office politics and reclaim her place as the show's heart? Only time will tell.

This initial joy quickly sours, however, as Woo-ju overhears a pivotal conversation. As the team celebrates, the director (Lee Soo-Mi) throws a wrench into the works. She proposes restructuring the team, implying the possibility of continuing the show without Woo-ju.
