Late rock legend Kurt Cobain's daughter Frances Bean Cobain has confirmed her relationship with Riley Hawk, the son of celebrity skateboarder Tony Hawk. Fans are overwhelmed by the news that the kids of two of the biggest millennial icons have kindled a romance. Frances Bean first dropped hints about their relationship over an Instagram post with a series of photos revisiting 2021, where she shared a few exclusive sneak peeks with Riley Hawk. The 29-year-old skateboarder and artist also left a sweet comment on Cobain's post saying, "Happy new year my love!"
Frances Bean is the daughter of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain and singer Courtney Love, while Riley is the son of skateboarding icon Tony Hawk and his former wife Cindy Dunbar. While Frances Bean has found success as a visual artist and model, Riley Hawk has dabbled in several things including street skating, music, and art. He was named the Amateur of the Year in 2013 by the Skateboarder Magazine.

In her new year post, Frances Bean shared a cozy photo with Riley Hawk on a yacht, also featuring his father Tony Hawk and his present wife Catherine Goodman. She dropped the photos after ending her year-long social media hiatus, as she cherished her favorite moments from 2021.

Who is Isaiah Silva?
Frances Bean Cobain was married to guitarist Isaiah Silva in the past for three years. Her marriage ended in a bitter court battle in 2017, as he filed a lawsuit against mother-in-law Courtney Love. The legal tussle was sparked by an old guitar of Kurt Cobain, which Frances had gifted to Silva during their marriage.
The bone of contention during their messy divorce had been the iconic 1959 Martin D-18E guitar that Kurt Cobain played on Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged. The rightful owner of the guitar had long been debated throughout the former couple’s divorce proceedings. Silva claimed Frances gave the guitar to him as a present.
For her part, Frances denied ever gifting the instrument to him. In addition to its sheer monetary value — it’s estimated to be worth millions of dollars — what also makes the guitar rare is the fact that it was only one of about 300 made at the time and supposedly the last one Kurt Cobain played before his tragic passing. It was also reportedly meant to stay within the family.
Frances' mother Courtney Love also seems to take her daughter's side. “It’s not his to take,” Love previously told TMZ when asked about Silva’s claims to the instrument. She also went on to call the guitar a “treasured heirloom” and said Frances “never planned” on giving it away for good.
