Fox News slammed for poor Boulder shooting coverage and allegedly not airing police presser, dubbed ‘propaganda’
BOULDER, COLORADO: In what comes as another piece of chilling news, ten people, including a Boulder police officer, were killed in a mass shooting at the King Soopers supermarket in Boulder, Colorado, police said. It is the seventh mass shooting in the US in the past seven days and comes less than a week after eight people were killed in a series of suspected racial attacks on spas in Atlanta, Georgia.
The incident has shaken people to the very core. And while many took to social media to share their grievances, solidarity, remorse and anger, there were some who pointed out a particularly important point -- Fox News was allegedly straying away from coverage of the mass shooting. And soon, Fox News was getting slammed for not extensively covering the Boulder shooting -- in fact, they did not even air the press briefing following the shooting.

CNN and MSNBC are both carrying it. Fox is not." Another person shared the screengrabs highlighting the differences in the coverage. "CNN and MSNBC are covering the shootings in Boulder but apparently Fox News doesn’t feel it’s very important. #FoxNews #MSNBC #BoulderStrong #Boulder #GunControl." Fox Propaganda didn’t.
Amidst all this, a user took to social media to share a thread of Fox News coverage from the day. "There's a slew of breaking news today, including a mass shooting just a few hours ago, and the largest "news" channel on television is doing this," the user tweeted alongside a screengrab of Tucker Carlson on the section 'The beginning of the end for Girls' sports', concluding that the network "...brought the breaking news correspondent on to talk about.............spring breakers". Another angry user tweeted, "CNN and MSNBC or @FoxNews or any other sorry news network, why are people so stupid and watch their propaganda??? No wonder this nation is all Jack up, people actually jump when they’re told to. We are beyond sick, unfortunately. #StupidLivesMatter"

There were, however, still those who called out CNN and MSNBC. "CNN and MSNBC might be superior to right wing lunacy outlets like FOX but fundamentally we have a singular problem with all media: it is corporate controlled and owned. Corporations are not trustworthy. They have a profit motive beyond all else. Money should not determine truth," one tweeted. "Cnn and msnbc, 2 of the absolute worst fake news media outlets," a user claimed.

Another user tweeted abut the differences in their coverage models. "It’s not missed upon me that the coverage of the shooting today in CO is getting way more attention by CNN and MSNBC than the shooting in GA last week. The networks spoke about the GA story in between the news of the day. Maybe it’s a slow news day but I see the difference."
