#ByeHannity: In Trump vs Biden's presidential race, why is the Internet canceling Fox News anchor Sean Hannity?

It’s not just Donald Trump or Joe Biden who are the topic of discussion, it seems even some of the media personalities are in the spotlight

As the race to the Presidential campaign heats up, politics is getting even fiercer. And, it’s not just Donald Trump or Joe Biden who are the topic of discussion; it seems even some of the media personalities are in the spotlight. Talk show host Sean Hannity, who hosts a commentary program, Hannity, on Fox News, seems to have caught the eye of the Twitter handle @MeidasTouch, as described in their bio – producing the most hard-hitting, impactful and most-watched political videos. 

They released a new video where Hannity’s comments against Biden are juxtaposed with Trump’s speeches. At one point in the video, Hannity can be heard saying “I look at a frail guy that if he ever had a slow pitch, seems to be gone. He had this weird, strange, embarrassing public breakdown touting his cognitive fitness. This particular snippet is from an August 7 video posted by Fox News on YouTube, titled: ‘Hannity: Biden doesn't know what city he's in’. The video by @MediasTouch has juxtaposed this particular snippet with footage from Trump walking down the West Point Graduation Ceremony ramp, his interview with Axios and POTUS’ interview with Fox News Anchor Fox anchor Chris Wallace, where he was talking about his cognitive skills by repeating – “Person, woman, man, camera, TV.”

This is just an example from the one-minute-long video. It has several statements of Hannity juxtaposed with other Trump speeches. The post was captioned: "Enough conspiracy theories, incompetence, and hate. We need 6,000 retweets in the first hour of this. #ByeHannity." Soon this hashtag was trending on Twitter.

One user said, "And the media is broadcasting Trump’s comments about Kamala Harris and her birthplace. So tired of the media regurgitating his every word. They need to stop giving him a stage on which to spread his lies."

Another said, "Sean Hannity and Donald Trump are a pair of snakes. They deserve everything that is coming to them. #ByeHannity.

Another user said, "Hannity may be as big of a liar as Trump. He’s gotten away with this for years and it’s just sickening. Thank you for this ad. #ByeHannity."

A user wrote: "Glad you did this, I've been wishing you would highlight him and @IngrahamAngle. They have no accountability and they've done so much damage, so many lives lost."

One user commented, "I love this. It is so perfect how everything Hannity was accusing others of were really more applicable to Trump."

The @MeidasTouch video has over 16K retweets and comments, and over 15K likes. 

On the other hand, POTUS was also busy tweeting: he compared the 2016 and 2020 Presidential campaigns, Hillary Clinton being smarter than Biden and Fox News being 'politically correct'.  He tweeted, "The biggest difference between the Presidential Race in 2020 and that of 2016 is the 2016 candidate, Crooked Hillary Clinton, was much smarter and sharper than Slow Joe, we have even more ENTHUSIASM now, and @FoxNews has become politically correct and no longer the big deal!"

And, like most Tweets of his, this one got plenty of reactions from social media. One user said, "The biggest difference between 2016 and 2020 is that as an incumbent “President”, you’re now DIRECTLY responsible for the destruction, deaths, and division in our country. You can’t blame anybody else. #TrumpFailedAmerica #TrumpVirus"

An angry user commented, "In 2016, many Americans were misled by you to assume that Hillary was crooked. In 2020, we know you are a lying fool who will do anything to cheat in the election."

Another concurred, "BIDEN LEADING Millions are fed up with Trump’s pathological lying, his abusive treatment of other people, his unethical conduct & his complete failure as a president. It’s no surprise then that Biden is leading comfortably in all national polls."

Another user stated, "The biggest difference between the Presidential Race in 2020 and that of 2016 is that Trump completely destroyed our country, told Americans to inject bleach to kill the coronavirus, and even promoted whacked out doctors preaching about Demon Semen and hydroxychloroquine."

Another commented, "The biggest difference is that you destroyed our nation and killed over 167,000 people. @HillaryClinton warned us, she knew and she still lives rent free in your tenement of a brain. @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris will soon undertake the daunting task of undoing your disasters."
