LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Fox & Friends' weekend host Will Cain mourned the death of country singer Charlie Robinson in a heartfelt post on his X account.

The singer-songwriter from Texas died at 59 on Sunday, September 10, after several health complications he was suffering from. Robinson had long-retired from the music industry following previous health issues and a surgery that left him incapable of singing.

Cain looked back on how Robinson was part of his happiest memories in the post he penned for the singer.

Will Cain had Charlie Robinson on his wedding playlist

The Fox News host revealed how important Robinson was to him despite his inactivity in the past five years.

His X post read, "Love Charlie Robison. RIP. I used to listen to My Hometown on loop. The Wedding Song was on my wife’s and my wedding album. Still listen to El Cerrito Place."

'El Cerrito' was one of Robinson's fan-favorite numbers and continues to resonate with his listeners even after all these years.

Cain also added that Robinson's brother Bruce Robinson, who is also a singer and songwriter, always made him think of the legendary country figure whenever he listened to a particular song.

"I’d smile listening to Bruce Robison sing “They like my brother and little more than they do me, but they love my brother and me” picturing Charlie," his post said, "I love “My Brother and Me”."

Charlie Robinson's sudden death after retirement

Fans like Will Cain were shocked by the news of Robinson's sudden death after he shockingly retired in 2018.

He had gone to his Facebook account then to announce the reason behind him stepping down from his career in the music industry.

"At the beginning of this year I underwent a surgical procedure that because of complications left me with the permanent inability to sing," Robinson's post had said, "Therefore, with a very heavy heart I am officially retiring from the the stage and studio."
