LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Fox & Friends' host Janice Dean has stepped up on her social media account to speak against the latest appointment of Howard Zucker as the Deputy Director of Global Health. She brought up the health scandal that took place in New York under his authority back in March 2020 which caused many deaths.

Dean has come forward to question the Biden government on such a decision made which has also caused an uproar among the people who lost their loved ones because of Zucker's poor response to the Covid crisis.

What did Howard Zucker do?

During the height of the first wave of Covid cases, Zucker was in position as New York state's Health Commissioner. Under Governor Andrew Cuomo, the department took the decision to move patients infected with the deadly virus to enter and settle in nursing homes where senior care facilities were exposed to Covid as well. The decision on the part of the government and the health department caused many deaths of nursing home residents.

Dr. Howard A. Zucker, commissioner of the New York State Department of Health, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo have a conversation after the conclusion of a press conference on coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination at Suffolk County Community College on April 12, 2021 in Brentwood, New York. Gov. Andrew Cuomo held a press conference at Suffolk County Community College, a mass vaccination site, announcing that the state will be sending the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine to colleges and universities across New York to encourage college students to get vaccinated before heading home for the summer.

Zucker was further responsible for covering up the doing of the Cuomo-Hochul administration and defended their policy of Covid patients flooding the nursing homes. The numbers of caused deaths reflected and shared with the public were purposely lessened in defense of the administration. There were also reports of the Department of Health, under Zucker, prioritizing the people associated with the administration in getting Covid tests which were gravely scarce at the time in the state.

People who suffered from the poor decision-making of the DOH and the administration were further enraged when nothing much came out of the investigation into the nursing home policy.

Why is Janice Dean calling Howard Zucker out?

The question is, after three years, why is this issue coming to light again? The 'CBS Mornings' host Dean is closely standing with all the victims of the 2020 nursing home policy as Zucker, instead of being adequately punished for the scandal, got promoted as the Deputy Director of Global Health for President Joe Biden's Center for Disease Control and Prevention. This position entails a larger role and control over many people and major planning involved in the strategizing and programs of the Center.

Dean has been slamming all people involved in this shocking decision, including the director of CDC Mandy K Cohen. On Twitter, she has written to her, inviting her for a conversation on her podcast about Zucker's appointment.

Her tweet said, "Hi. Let’s talk about Howard Zucker. His policies helped kill thousands of seniors in nursing homes, helped cover up the death toll and resigned in disgrace. Then you guys hired him! Not as fun as Barbie, but I invite you to come on my podcast to chat."
