In what comes as an exciting piece of news, Fortnite released its first teaser ahead of the confirmed and official collaboration with the hit series, 'The Office'. Since the drop, speculations are rife that there will be two major character skins — Dwight (Rainn Wilson) and Michael Scott (Steve Carell). At the time of writing, there is no official word on whether any other characters from the show will make an appearance.

According to reports, there are no official renders of either of the two aforementioned characters available yet. Per tweets doing the rounds on X, the next patch is slated to release on January 22, and reactions are all about fans' excitement to see two iconic characters who have become household names.

In related news, the 'The Paper' stars made headlines last year for maintaining that the show was not a spinoff of 'The Office'. Speaking to Collider, Domhnall Gleeson, who plays Ned Sampson, the new editor-in-chief of the newspaper on the show, remarked, "The people are going to have to take the show on its own merits because it’s become something different. It’s a whole new city. It’s not like a remake."

Seconding this was Oscar Nuñez. In an interview with Today, "It wasn’t a spinoff. It was never presented as one. People want it to be. It’s a different show. It is the same documentary crew visiting another place with new people, and so that part is brand new. I’m the only glue, the sexy glue, that holds everything together," he said.

It was an emotional moment for fans and the cast of 'The Office' when the show neared its end. Carell spoke about how the ending was a secret that the cast and crew went great lengths to maintain. I lied," Carell told TVLine. "I lied for months to the press, to almost everyone, really. And I felt terribly for the cast and for [executive producer] Greg Daniels, because they all lied, too. I didn't want it to be a big thing. I did it out of respect for the show and for the actors," he added. "My only hope with it was I didn't want it to be about Michael coming back. I didn't want the story to be about him in any way. I wanted it to be more of a tip of the hat to the show." Now, Fortnite and 'The Office' will give fans of both entities a reason to be happy.
